This is my go-to mommy meet-up trail. If you’re running with a stroller, or if you have a toddler that needs to get the wiggle worms out, this trail is perfect.

Only went 3.5 miles in then turned around. Beautiful views the whole way.

Great little trail, easy walk, great scenery.

Great after work walk/hike. Fall leaves, creek view. such a beautiful day.

This is a long, flat hike. Well marked and maintained trail. Passed many people, a few campgrounds, bear and fox scat, saw a grouse, moose and beautiful glacier views. Heading out looks different from returning. So glad to have gone, will do it again!

Wie beschrieben ein einfacher Weg, ohne Besonderheiten. Am interessantesten fanden wir einige Häuser zu Beginn des Trails.

We rented bikes and did the trail from Anchorage. Every turn has something beautiful waiting around the way. We saw 6 moose in our 20 miles and because the foliage is mostly still green, I’m sure more than 6 moose saw us but we couldn’t spot them.

Great easy mossy trail.

Nicely maintained paved trail along the coastline. Shared with bikes so keep alert! Saw a bull moose not a 1/4 mile from the rec center parking lot.

Nice paved path with plenty of views of Turnagain Arm and the nearby mountains across Seward Highway. We walked right up on three juvenile black bears having a ball. They were ambling along, like going to school, and would every once in a wile would stop to play, often standing on their hind legs to wrestle. We made a lot of noise, and they eventually left the trail, but not before we got photos. Also some great flowers (almost gone for season), mountain scenes, educational panels,?and small waterfalls coming out of the mountains.

Short out and back along the shoreline. Stunning scenery for 360°! Camping available along entire route! Flat route with a well maintained trail.

Sunday through Wednesday, open to ATVs/snowmobiles. 15mph limit, so slow going, but a beautiful ride along Eklutna Lake.

Awesome riding! Some is in the forest, some on the river rock, some through the river and streams. Rewards you with an up close view of the Knik Glacier and icebergs.

Wide open path bordering Eklutna Lake. Great place to take visitors for nearby access to Anchorage/MatSu and an easy walk with great views. The description states that dogs and horses use this trail but on certain days motorized vehicles are also allowed. If you want to avoid that (can be dusty when they pass), check the official site: http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/maps/eklutnalaketrailguide.pdf

A relatively difficult hike to the summit. Several spots to enjoy beautiful 360 views of the surrounding mountain range. First 3/4 of the way up looks like an ATV trail. Near the end of that section there is a nice bolder to sit on, eat a snack, and enjoy the view. Farther up it turns into a slight amount of bushwhacking, but the area at the top is beautiful and very quiet and peaceful.

I walk or run this trail daily. Its GREAT and as long as your dog is under voice command, you don't have to lash them which works well for my dog!

Really nice trail - walked from the start in Elderberry Park to the Earthquake Park, about 6.7 miles roundtrip. Very well maintained, heavily trafficked with walkers, runners, cyclists. Nice informative signage along the way and great views off the coast - unfortunately we could not see Denali due to clouds. The trail in the forest by the Earthquake Park was fascinating - you could really see the impact of the quake on the land, even 45 years after the fact.

Easy long hike. Great for hiking or biking, spectacular lake views, bike path is easy, a few bears. Highly recommended!

Besides the historical relevance, the trail was not fun. The worst bugs I’ve ever experienced (went the last week in July). The views, of a muggy swamp, were not worth the climb.

Easy walk. Kid friendly. Trail kind of disappeared with about .5 mile to go. Was parallel to the road so we just walked the last bit on the park road.

Nice walk along Cook Inlet in Anchorage with great vistas along the way. Trail leads to Earthquake Park about 4 miles from the trailhead. Earthquake Park commemorates the 1964 earthquake which devestated the city of Anchorage and the surrounding region. It is a beautiful & informative park well worth the walk.
