Great family trail easy enough for even children. Trail is clearly marked. Beautiful view of lake and a covered bridge. Trail is a loop so no backtracking needed. Dog friendly though leash is required.

Had a great time hiking this trail, not long but well worth the trip to the view!

Great trail to take the kids on. Lots of loose rock and gravel. Took hiking shoes but probably could have just used tennis shoes. It was muddy but we expected it due to rain the previous day. Stopped at Remy’s dog park on the way out for some off leash time.

Great trail. Falls beautiful.

Ok, so we came here trying to find a great hike. The maps we had access to were for biking. We asked around and got some general directions. Park by the chapel and take the Black Creek Trail back past Cascade Bridge. Just beyond, there is an access point down to the river. Take it and head down stream. Follow to the Suspension Bridge, cross it and double back. The trail gets a little choppy, but it’s marked and you won’t lose it so long as you follow the river. This trail will end up taking you up and behind the water fall. Continue around and follow the trail for 1/2 mi until you see the sign pointing to the campgrounds. It will take you back up to the BCT and get you back to the parking lot. This was about 3.5mi, and mostly easy but there’s opportunity to climb rocks or not, some scrambles but nothing really tricky. Really pretty hike with lots to see. Great find!

Great trail especially this time of year, a little muddy but great scenery, I love it when you can see through the forest. It has some short little waterfalls and a little bit of elevation. Would be a great family trail.

We hit the Muddy Creek Trail today (01/19/20) right after sunrise and had a great time. The weather was perfect, and the trail is very well maintained. The trail begins in a longleaf forest area, and then alternates between boardwalks over bodies of water (swamps, a pond, and the creek) and dirt walking trails through wooded areas. We saw some deer cross the trail about twenty feet in front of us, which was awesome to see. In the last section of the trail, there are quite a few tree roots you have to walk over, but it's not difficult at all. We had a good time.

Pretty easy trail but if the water is low there isn’t much to see

The views of the river from this trail are incredible!

Good walk for after work or a quick walk with your dog

Good trail, love the lake. After some rain water was going through the trail like a river making a very muddy trench! So go when it is dry. Trail was marked for the most part but a few spots were confusing and we ended up off the trail a couple of times.

This one was really overgrown and not maintained. You couldn't see the Beaver Pond. I felt unsafe out there with my son. The other trails at Little River are awesome, but this one is terrible.

Trail is pretty well maintained especially for the off season. Muddy in spots with a few easily avoided trees over the trail. Definitely earns its moderate rating given occasionally muddy conditions and a not insignificant elevation gain, but it was a fun, diverse afternoon hike.
