well marked trails, not too heavily trafficked

Love these trails for hiking with the dogs real close to home ! The creek is great as well

Good trail, love the lake. After some rain water was going through the trail like a river making a very muddy trench! So go when it is dry. Trail was marked for the most part but a few spots were confusing and we ended up off the trail a couple of times.

This is a very nicely paved trail all the way through. Just pay attention to the trail signs and you’ll be fine. Beautifully taken care of! I would definitely do this trail again.

Started at North Trailhead, Blue Trail. Took the Eagle's Nest Overlook Trail, which was steep and rocky, but worth the climb. Followed the trail around to King's Chair Overlook. There's a steep hill where the trail is covered by pine needles - very slippery. Took the King's Chair Overlook, which delivered spectacular views. Traced back to the Blue trail and continued onto the Orange Connector where the campsite is. Roughly 5 miles total from trailhead. Water was plentiful on the way up the climb, but non-existent between King's Chair and Orange Connector. Ended up walking down Red Road about .1mi to find water for the night. BEWARE--there is a train yard and whistles blow every 10 minutes all night...bring earplugs! The Blue trail down to Pevine Falls was an easy stroll, plenty of water everywhere. Took the White Trail down to the falls. Due to lots of rain, the falls were really flowing. Not many good places to cross. Eventually retraced white trail back to the top and continued on Blue until it ended at White. The weather got much worse after I got on White trail, with cold wind and rain, so I didn't get many (any) photos on White. White was more difficult for me. The trail is well marked, but very rocky. The steep inclines and rocks slowed my pace considerably. Water is plentiful for the first 3 miles. Once you get up on the ridge, no more water until near Maggie's Glenn. Even though the weather was terrible, the views on the ridge were still great. The terrain is different than Blue trail - more rugged. Eventually followed the White trail back to the parking lot. Both trails are very well blazed, but it gets confusing down in Pevine Falls - a couple of sign posts and blazes have blown down in the weather, so do your homework before you go!

I loved it, there is an adjoining playground and .5 mile walk trail that is a “story trail” that is great for small children. This is managed by the Kiwanis. The main trail is wooded, has some small streams that you walk by, and a very easy walk. I had my grandson in a stroller and had no issues. It was a little muddy, so if you have a stroller I would recommend one with large wheels.

Easy to moderate hike with historic mines along the way. The route featured really wide trails which became more interesting at times. Great overlook with views of the city.

A nicely maintained, dry trail with small elevations changes. I saw many joggers and bicyclists, but was able to share the trail easily. Doable in one at good pace.

Great trail! Best after a good rain when the water is flowing.

There are 2 trails, one for walking and one for biking. The trails overlap in places. I was walking and receiving off the trail notifications so I assume it follows the bike trail. The 2 trails are clearly marked.

Wear hiking boots and a snack and water

This is the best place ever not for mountain biking what so ever maybe a nice view while road cycling but I’ve been here a few times and there is no where to cycle so don’t pack your bike although this is the best place for swimming it’s my favorite and the hippy hole is better than the actual waterfall by a long shot and most people there are friendly locals which let you have conversation with very easily would recommend 10/10 for hiking and a swimming day.

Certain parts of the trail weren’t marked very well, but overall I really enjoyed this trail and look forward to running it again.

Great running/walking trail. Dog friendly, saw some others on the trail but was fairly serene and quiet. Will definitely return.

Not a great trail, mostly due to the slimy red clay. OTOH, it’s nothing a direct meteor strike couldn’t cure.

Loved the many bridges even though many were in need of repair. Lots of beautiful outlooks. It had poured the night before, so a lot was flooded. Glad I wore my waterproof hiking boots! Relatively easy even with a 1 year old on my back, but felt like we did a lot of switch backs for no reason. We could see the other paths we had walked on from other paths. Only saw 6 people the entire 5 miles we hiked.
