Great trail especially this time of year, a little muddy but great scenery, I love it when you can see through the forest. It has some short little waterfalls and a little bit of elevation. Would be a great family trail.

Pretty easy trail but if the water is low there isn’t much to see

Trail is pretty well maintained especially for the off season. Muddy in spots with a few easily avoided trees over the trail. Definitely earns its moderate rating given occasionally muddy conditions and a not insignificant elevation gain, but it was a fun, diverse afternoon hike.

Unbelievable strenuous hike. Our mileage was closer to 9 miles. In and out trail, waterfalls are beautiful. Hike out is tough, all uphill. Needed to be in better shape!

While there isn’t anything special about the walk along the gravel road, I really enjoyed the canyon and waterfalls. After I made my way to the cave and the bottom of the falls, I decided to hang a hammock down the creek and stay a while.

this was an awesome hike with my family. kids (3 and 5) and 2 dogs. Going down to the falls was a little slippery but a fun adventure for us. be cautious with the little ones though. my husband did have a tumble a short bit going down with our 3 year old, but overall not too bad and still says it was worth it for him. We just had a storm system go through yesterday so trail down was wet.

1/8/20 - First time to hike this trail and will definitely go back. Simply beautiful! The hike out is tougher than the hike in, but if you are in reasonably decent shape this trail isn’t too strenuous. A little rocky in a couple places. There are even a couple stops with benches to rest on. You cross two bridges on the walking path to the Walls - one very nice engineered bridge and a second log bridge with a hand rail. After crossing the log bridge, you follow upstream to the northwest. Be prepared to step into some shallow water or cross the stream on rocks. We were able to cross without getting wet. The falls were flowing beautifully in early January. Don’t stop until you reach the falls off the cliff. You will love it!

Great rails-to-trails route for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, etc. Easy elevation changes. Suitable for all ages. At times, unattended loose dogs are on the trail. Never had a scary problem with them as a runner or biker - but I don't bring my leashed dog here as I am worried about potential unpleasant encounters. Horses are also on the trail occasionally so watch your step for manure piles!

This is such a unique hike and falls. Today was like Christmas Bc the falls was raging, unlike last time I went. Just a beautiful area and I love the cardio hiking out. We did the hike in less than 3 hours. Bonus is extra large parking lot and porta potty at trailhead and trail is well marked.

Great trail if you can find it. Signs are posted at trailheads but that is it. Without the AllTrails map and GPS I never would have been able to follow this route. But if you do you will be rewarded with lovely scenery.

didn't have time to get all the trail done but what we did was pretty and easy

Great hike, what goes down must come up.... remember that on the way down because it is an ass kicker coming out. When you get to the falls make sure to climb up and follow it until you can’t anymore. So much beauty upstream of the falls.

Modified a north loop back to the 210. Nice old roadbed and some beautiful scenery

The scenery on this trail is awesome. We rode the trail by horseback for about 10 miles. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. I wouldn’t recommend this trail to an inexperienced rider due to the rocks but if you can handle your horse and want some amazing scenery then this trail is for you. Just use caution, especially in the “Harold’s Holler” area. The owner and staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great.

Took a little stroll this morning, trail was in great shape, several new bridges that were nice! So whoever is responsible for that hats off to ya!! Great for a quick hike or bike but like any trip in the woods u can make it however long u want! Parts of trail are along the little creek an lots of little waterfalls make for Lots of little stops to just take it all in!! Mountain bikes share a good bit of same trails an there is horse trails that cross in spots as well!!

One of the best places to be! Especially in the Fall.

Beautiful hike, you get you "dessert before your dinner you dont like hike". Down hill for 4.1 miles, all up heal coming back. my husband and I our couch potatoes and did this hike in 8hrs. It was very difficult for us. This says 6 something miles but we clocked just over 8. I would do it again. We camped at the primative vamp ground the night before we hiked. Once at the bottom dont forget to climb over the rock and keep going to the back cave/falls.

This was really fun! BE SURE to go all the way up and around when you get to the walls at the end! The views only get better. It was in the 50s the whole time, so we felt pretty great. I overestimated the difficulty of the hike back, but I’m sure it would’ve been much worse had it been in the 90s.

Great moderate hike (parts of it on the tougher side), 6.6 miles in about 3.5 hrs. Mostly downhill going out, uphill coming back. I think the ~8 miles people are reporting might have been from the horse trail parking lot a little farther up the road. There was some water flowing at the falls, but not a lot. Barely saw anyone on the trail on a weekday morning hike.

Definitely enjoyed the hike being our first one in 28 years! It is very strenuous. Definitely have enough water. Falls are died up at this time due to no rain, but still very beautiful and fun hike! I do agree this hike would be too much for a child under the age of 10! We plan to return when it gets a little cooler and has rained to see some falls and flowing water.

This trail has the most visible elevation change in the park (not saying much), but is nice to check out. Easy to get to from Harper campground.

I camped in the park and did a little over 20 mi of hiking here over the weekend. Great variety of trails for the area (forest, marsh, and waterfront boardwalk) of all kinds of lengths. Some trails were poorly marked and a couple were no longer being maintained. I recommend getting a park map to plan out your hikes more efficiently. Good for regular hikers, dogs (on leash), horseback riding, and biking. Some trails get very muddy after a rain, so be careful!
