Great trail with very little traffic. Great variety with rock formations and general scenery. Best hiked Clockwise. It is a fee area if you start at the campgrounds as shown, but you skip the fees if your start off one of the forest roads that the trail crosses. Trail crosses other trails and can be a little confusing, carry a map or download before you start. I did not see another soul.

Very nice hike. Not much elevation change but nice scenery. Started at 5 AM and it was cool, which I prefer, but warm enough to leave my jacket in my truck. Started from a different trailhead which made my hike 12.5 miles. Done by 9AM. Spotted 2 deer but no other large animals other than the black angus cattle which were dispersed through a good portion of the hike. Watch for cow pies on the trail. Overall a good trail, a nice change from the more rugged hikes I usually do when visiting from the Midwest.

This trail is one of my absolute favorite walks. I wish I had camped halfway through near Twin Mountain and explored that area a bit better. The trail is wonderful. Very kid and dog friendly and extremely enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone.

Great hiking and amazing scenery, but some of the trails are poorly marked, or go straight through marsh-like areas. Pay close attention to the map, or else you can take a wrong turn.

I started out to check the ground and see if it was passible yet and just continued on. Got to the halfway point and the sky started to blacken and decided to cut across to a cow trail and get back to the truck. The trail is a bit wet, but it’s doable. Really wonderful scenery and good time to get focused for the work week. I heard someone up in the rocks as I started, but never saw a single person the entire trip. Wonderful afternoon.
