Easy walk down to water. Rating is not difficult.

Very pretty trail and not too difficult for my aging mother. The "falls" however, do get crowded. We wound up taking North Valley Trail back to cut across and it was less trafficked, less rocky and a little more scenic.

Very pretty. The mud made it a bit slippery and thankfully no bear sightings. Was a bit steep at times but the waterfall although nothing too grand made it worth it.

The last leg of the trail over to the actual waterfall was a little more difficult, but a lot of fun.

This trail has much to see such as ridge line, cascades, and coastal plains. The trail is great for seniors and beginners. The incline can be slippery if it has just rained but otherwise it’s good way to increase heart rate when climbing down and up. It does feel like I was walking on toes.

Did this hike with my 2 year old & 5 year old sons. They had fun splashing in the creek & with the hike. The little one got tired on the way back & needed to be carried. The last short leg of the hike, down to the cascade, is a bit steep. Overall a nice walk

While not necessarily jaw-dropping, this is a very pretty short hike. Note: when you get to the river, cross the water and turn left. The real waterfall is still a quarter mile or so upstream!

Nice 2 mile trail that leads to a pretty cool small water fall. It was great for my 2 Goldenretrievers and one of them is just a pup. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the end of the trail was blocked with trees and there was no getting around them.

Hiked this about a year ago. Very easy. Bonus-Geocache along the way.

On the park map this is called the Quantico Cascades Trail. Park in lot E. At the end of the trail it is definitely cascades - no waterfall - but still beautiful! Easy hike with 3 year old, 5 year old, and dog.

Nice little trail. Park in lot E and then the trail head is well marked then follow the yellow blazes. There is limited parking, maybe 8 spots. The parking area faces an open area with picnic tables so you can lunch before or after your walk. The hike itself is pretty, woods with old growth trees. The cascades are maybe more of a river with rocks but sit and listen to them for awhile before heading back. The are small but beautiful. Somewhat steep right at the end so you can get your heart-rate up a bit. Nice little hike for some quiet forest time.

This was a good trail and the scenery was beautiful. The recent rains improved the falls with the cool weather was perfect. Did more than just the falls trail.

I was able to run this trail while visiting family back east this last February. I was a bit disappointed with the falls, but it was the end of winter. Still, I had an enjoyable time, and only saw a handful of people. Was great getting away from the hustle and bustle of Northern VA, and being on the trails is always so much better than being on the roads any day! Considering the location, this is still a really enjoyable outing.

A nice quiet walk for a warm January day. Beaver is building a dam across the creek at the end of the trail. He came out to say hello while I sat and ate lunch. For a longer out and back, park at the Turkey Run Education Center and combine the Mary Bird Branch Trail (0.5 mi one way) with this trail.

Not much a destination when the water is low and be careful for snakes! Overall decent hike

It was really good. I thought there would be more falls, but very beautiful. Changed my perspective on hiking in Virginia.

Quick and easy! Slight incline on the way back up from Quantico Creek but otherwise mostly wide and level.

Nice trail, wide most if the way then a bit more narrow going down to the falls. Nice place to skip rocks and look at stream life with little ones at the bottom. It is a bit steep going back so people were carrying their smaller more portly pups, but otherwise a decent trail for kids, adults and dogs. Nice views!
