Great trail for dogs and people! Very secluded when we went - we saw only one other hiker. Loved the part along the creek!

Another beautiful trail loop in PWFP. Lots of runnable sections, but it has some huge rucks and roots when you hit South Valley. I really enjoyed the fall weather. There are lots of leaves on the trail so be careful when you hit the rocky sections.

Perfect fall route with a few moderately difficult parts (visited Nov. 7th). The terrain also provides enough elevation change that you won't get bored. This trail took a little less than 2 hours to complete walking at a slightly above average pace. Be careful of the muddy parts, very easy to slip and fall a few feet. I would say that it is safe for kids.

Exited the trail onto scenic drive. Note that it’s about .7 miles to Lot H, much of it uphill!

Not bad. Took the northern route from the parking area. Had to go off route to use a bathroom about .5 miles away. It was more hilly and steep than I expected.

Great trail. Nicely kept. Arrived at 8am and it was moderately trafficked, mostly with trail runners. I brought my dog and he loves it! No real spider webs while I was there. No ticks (so far)!

What a treasure! Enjoyed a quiet afternoon hike, dappled sunlight and shade. Well marked trails, beautiful solitude by the creek. I'll be back for more trails and would do this one again.

Beautiful well kept secret park just minutes from busy I-95. Heat index in DC was supposed to be over 100 degrees today, mid July, but stayed in mid 70s during this 2 hour morning hike. I loved the well kept well marked trail with meadows streams bridges frogs and flowers. I would definitely hike another trail in this park.

Sections have a lot of rocks or roots. Recommend clockwise circuit to avoid a lot of uphill at the end. About half of hike along creek with intermittent water access. Recommend bug spray in warm weather. Mostly forest views. Walking along creek is nice. Fairly empty on a Sunday in the summer.

Trail has mis-marking. Overall a great trail though.

It's actually not a loop but joins up to a few trails and a couple of roads. We did it as part of a big loop, approx 8.5 miles. We parked at Lot A, went up Turkey Run Ridge Trail, joined up with Old Black Top Rd at the TREC, then turned left at High Meadows Trail and took that south to South Vally Trail, turned left and back to Parking lot A for a total of approx 8.5 miles.

From SOUTH VALLEY TRAIL it heads NE for 2.1 miles until it runs into Taylor Farms Rd. Good trail markings and well maintained trail.

I began this trail from the south scenic drive road after completing the south valley trail. The rolling trail gave a grand view of the hilly terrain. The leaves on the ground on a moderately warm sunny day colored the earth with a bright autumn hue. This was a pleasurable trail to traverse as it gave a different perspective of the park after meandering along the south fork quantico creek. I completed this trail upon joining with the little run loop. This trail was worth the hike.
