Small scenic pond, gentle hike along creek. A short, but beautiful hike around a small nature pond and along Pohick creek. Nestled in the middle of Fairfax county, the park offers solitude, and opportunity for exploration.

Beautiful hike, very few people with a ton of trail choices.

Great hike, after leaving nature center area we were the only ones on the trail, very peaceful. Dogs enjoyed it, a lot of water in the river right now, and ponds scattered throughout. Definitely coming back.

Did the loop starting on the yellow trail, linking up with the green trail and finishing at the pond via the blue trail. The walk next to the creek on the yellow and half of the green trail is quite refreshing, though would be even better in the summer when the water level's a bit higher. On the way back through the green trail, the trail markers are quite sparse and you'd need to keep your eyes peeled 30-40 feet ahead to spot the next marker. An easy hike if you'd like to spend a couple of hours with the family in the quiet surrounding.

Hidden gem in dense suburbia. You feel like you're far away in a magical place however parts are extremely overgrown. Wear pants and be prepare to push through overgrown trail with thorn bushes. Lots of down trees but some clearing work has been done. The area clearly experienced severe flooding but was dried out. I hope the trails will be cleared soon and this will be my favorite nearby hike.

We hiked the 3 mile loop. Trails were poorly maintained and not well marked. Many trees were down and much overgrowth hid the trail in places. Many parts of the trail were under water.

I enjoyed the time. Well maintained trail, family friendly and clean

Swampy in areas. Hiking boots mandatory for occasional muck and ruggedness of the trail. The fur child loved it as well.

I don’t know how this is rated easy. You have a lot of climbing and wading through certain areas. Wear bug spray and long pants with hiking boots to be careful. There’s a lot of water and creeks as well as sand. A lot of the yellow and green trails are overgrown and not well marked. Blue trail was much easier though there’s climbing.

It started off with a lot of blocked off pack for Spring clean up and repairs. The initial walk around the pond by the parking space wasn't thrilling and I was not expecting much after seeing that. Once I got back on the actual nature walk path, everything changed. It was quiet and there were a lot of birds chirping. I might have passed to people the whole walk. I love to following the Little River that ran along most of the path. This is definitely a good close to home option.

Great local trail for a walk with my dog. He loved having a water option and I loved how quiet and peaceful it was for where it is.

Nice easy trail along the creek. Difficult if you want to run it because of roots. Well worth it. But not marked real well.(blaze)

Went around the loop with my dog, yellow to green to blue. Closer to the Nature Center the paths are obvious, but once you get down into it they can get really overgrown and indistinguishable from the rest of the woods, and it's easy to wind up off the trail as you're trying to find it. This becomes most problematic around the Green path, where there are signs noting a Deer Management Archery Program in progress from Sept 8, 2018 - Feb 23, 2019 with a note to stay on established trails. Otherwise, all the cover was nice and the river is lovely, but make sure to bring plenty of bug spray. The paths are really slick when wet.

Lots of cover in the summer. Great pond for spotting turtles, birds and fish. Nice little nature center.

Nice place to visit in the winter. It's a jungle in the summer.

Not really for biking. Would be a lovely walk, but it's not meant for bikes. If you do bike you may not be able to see people on the path, and the paths are narrow. Also, almost got ran over by a gator quad-type vehicle. •_•

More hike than bike. Trails are not maintained regularly, some don't even connect. Nice & hidden away.
