I would rate this trail as moderate. It's uphill for the first mile, with some steep parts. At the top you can view some older homestead remains, but there is no view of the mountains or the reservoir. The trail then circles back down the 'hill' but the trails are not marked very well and what was supposed to be a 2 mile hike ended up being a 4 mile hike.

This is a very easy trail but be very careful right after or during rain as it can be very slippery (especially around rocks) and muddy. The water rushing down the river after a night of heavy rainfall is amazing sight and sound experience.

Nice hike in the winter. It took us 2 hours with cramp-ons. We didn't want to spend all day hiking so a nice stop before getting to Burlington!
