Great trail even with some snow. Decent overlook, great little waterfalls. A lot of brook crossing and blow downs to swing over.

Nice trail! Summit views were a little over grown. The waterfalls were beautiful! Would recommend, nice solo hike!

What a beautiful afternoon hike today was on the Canty Trail. It was quiet with only a few other hikers. It was just rugged enough to get a good workout. The view from the vista was phenomenal, and the falls were enchanting.

was absolutely gorgeous trail to walk on and look at fall foliage. Very rocky so I recommend shoes with good ankle support. cascade was a great spot to take a break half way up. will defiantly be going back!

It was awesome! There are not many people coming to this trail but it was great. I saw a bear on the way up :)

Great hiking trail. There is a stop at the waterfall cascade and a view of Rutland at the top vista, but the real highlight is the excellent trail.

Great trail, accurately advertised by others here. Highly recommended -- didn't see another soul, but really enjoyed the solitude.

Due to some rain unable to finish the trail but I’ll be back. It was a nice tree covered trail making it cool on the warmest days.

Nice hike, actual trailhead and parking is a little further down the road than where this app brings you

I love the variety of terrain on this trail as well as the quiet location and lack of people. A well marked trail with a medium sized waterfall halfway to the summit. I'm not a fast or slow hiker. It took two hours to get to the top and had a nice view.

Loved this trail regardless of the conditions...being spring mud season made the trail a mess but it had also rained for two days prior. Had to hike into woods of trail to cross the brook...luckily there was a fallen tree across it. Cascades were raging and beautiful

We hiked this trail on 12/29 with our dog. Beautiful hike in the woods. The first part is relatively flat with several stream crossings. The second part, by the cascades, was fairly steep with lots of water run off and ice. On the top of the mountain, we saw tons of moose tracks.

The cascades are pretty as is the overlook. The trail is well maintained and is never super steep. It's a good hike if you're not looking for traditional summit views or gut wrenching vertical gain. The lack of people was also a plus.

Great trail, beautiful waterfall. A couple of the wooden beams on the muddy sections of the trails are rotting/breaking, but overall, not bad! Un sendero maravilloso con una cascada hermosa. Hay unos tablas de madera en los partes feos del sendero que están rotas y malogradas. Pero, en general es genial!

Surprisingly challenging, especially after some big rain. The trail at the bottom of the mountain meanders through the forest and it is an enjoyable stroll. Once the trail turns upward it takes you through varying forest types. Really enjoyable with a small waterfall along the track. The view is limited but the trail is the reward.

Very well marked! Trail was in good condition despite the thunderstorms this week. The Cascades are awesome but unfortunately my view was socked in with mist. Will try it again!

Fun hike. The trail was not super well marked and it was difficult to find the start, the geo tag is a bit off. The Falls were really pretty and we thought the view from the top was very cool.

Awesome trail! Hiked it in late November on a 45 degree, sunny day, no one else was on the trail! very gradual for the first half then a decent uphill for the last half of the hike but definitely a moderate hike overall. The view is not big and open but still beautiful. Very windy at the top.

Ok my wife and I love to walk and hike all over, and this was the first time we had picked a moderate hiking trail. It’s fall in VT. an the colors are changing so we chose to go up Canty Trail, we drove by the trail head it was not well marked out. The sign was behind some small trees and there was a little pull off room for about four vehicles. The walk stated out good and slow but turned out to be much more half way up. I’m getting up there in age but man I never thought we would have taken three an haft hours to get to the top. It took almost two hours to get back down. The falls was the best part of the hole hike. The wife and I would do it again but only to the falls the top is not all that. Happy Hiking.

A nice relatively quick hike. Starts out pretty flat with a couple of small stream crossings(but you don't have to get your feet wet), then gets steeper approaching the Cascades. Worth the 50 foot detour to take a look around there. That's roughly the halfway point. Keep going up to the peak. As others have said, there's no view from the peak, but the marked overlook just below the peak has a really good view to the southwest(I think, didn't actually check). It's also a nice snowshoe trail in the winter.
