The Bonneville Trail section isn't very exciting, However the rest of the trail has nice views of the valley.

The apple maps directions drop you off on the southwest side of a children’s park. I eventually went to the directions for bonneville shoreline from AllTrails, which takes you to the air park. I actually believe these are the same trail with different entries in all trails. After hopping on bonneville from the air park, I passed several “neighborhood access points”, about 6 in all. None of these access points are well marked from the street, and each of them pass between homes, through relatively unkept grass and brush- you would miss it if you didn’t know what to look for. The northern most access can be found on the north east side of the children’s park that alltrails drops you off at. The trail is very runable. Not a ton of shade, but family friendly. For the first mile you are on a trail right behind the neighborhood homes. At about the mile mark the trail turns into the canyon and gives you the option to head directly up the ridge (very steep), or to continue around the base of the mountain/canyon- this portion is still very runable. I didn’t pass another living soul the entire time I was on the trail (930 am on a Friday), other than one snake and several lizards.

This trail has a beautiful view of the valley. Love going up here. A bit rocky though, mind your footing.
