Stunning views all the way up, especially with the Fall colors. Strenuous climb, with a fair amount of rocks to navigate, but I made it fine without poles. There are a couple of forks near the beginning that aren't marked, so it helped to have GPS and the Alltrails map. The end of the Oak Grove Trail is not marked and the trail continues towards the climb to the summit. I carried on a ways past the Alltrails trail end to reach the 9000ft mark. Absolutely loved the hike, great workout and a great views.

A classic straight up grind to link into the Summit Trail. Best to start in shade in early a.m. or evening during the summer. No water available. Possible to dry camp around 1200 feet up then continue the following morning. Quite stunning. I did this on the full moon and was quite elated with the views.

Did this hike with my significant other, we’re both in our 20s and in relatively good shape. This hike kicked our asses. Don’t recommend pursuing during the afternoon in July... but the views are outstanding. You can see Zion National Park in the distance and amazing views all around. Difficult but absolutely worth it.

Amazing and challenging continuous climb from Oak Grove Campground to the mountain ridge above. I'm not sure that this recordings moving time is correct since that was the time for the decent only. There is a marked trail the entire way but it is not for those who are not in shape.

I've done this trail two times now and it has quickly become one of my favorite hikes in the area. It's 6 miles in and out (Nov 2016) to the ridge with a total ascent of 3470'. The high point of the ridge is at 9870'. No major obstacles but a couple sections up top with loose rock and exposure. Just take your time. After reaching the ridge, climb the rocks to the left of the ridge for an incredible 200 degree view. Start early, bring lots of water and snacks, get back before its dark. The upper section of the trail can be tricky to follow sometimes. Wear long pants and long shirt as the brush will scratch you up pretty good. You can drive to the trail head in a regular car. Hiked this trail to signal peak in September 2016 and to the ridge in Nov 2016.
