This trail drops 1190 feet in the first 3.5 miles before climbing 1250 before arriving at Pinto Lake. The mileage uses the Skinner Cutoff which shortens the hike

Enjoyed hiking to this lake, lots of beautiful meadows along the way. While me and my girlfriend were camped along Pinto Lake I witnessed a very bright ball of light come over the lake and over our heads and over the mountains behind us. The craziest part was it made NO SOUND. It could have been a military drone but it did make me think UFO. Lol We hiked out the next day!

Not too hard of a hike for a beautiful lake. See my post on my blog about my weekend trip out to Naturalist Basin, Pinto Lake, and Mirror Lake -

Camped along the river on this trail between junction of the North Fork of the Duchense trail from Mirror Lake and the Junction of the Highline trail. Nice easy to follow trail
