Awesome. Beautiful all the way. I went 4 miles in where it split into several other trails or continues over to oak grove. There is no summit per say on this hike; though you could blaze to the top of one easily. You still get some great views while on the ridges. Weather was perfect; I used a light jacket after climbing about 3k ft. A little brisk on some of the ridges at 8am.

Yep, it is difficult and there are numerous trees that have fallen. It is a great hike, though

July 16 2019 took this trail into the campgrounds of Pine Valley. I was suppose to spend 5 days on the Summit Trail which still has serious snow. Routefinding at the top of Summit trail and this trail is still difficult due to snow. Trail down is easy to follow, but blocked by dead fall. I imagine only experienced horses would do well on this trail in it's current state. From Oak Grove to Pine Valley in a day. Great day hike, but serious!

still 2 ft + snow last 1.5 mi or so. We made it to the top of Oak Grove trail though with extra effort slipping on the snow. Lots of dead fall over trail makes it easy to lose trail if you're not careful. Great hike! A little steep coming back down, but not nearly as bad as Oak Grove. The views are simply amazing!!

This trail has some really incredible views. We drove our 2011 Hyundai Tuscon across starting from Skyline drive. It was really rough and required every ounce of technical navigating skills I had to make it, but it was really fun. I would highly recommend taking this trip, but in a trail ready vehicle or ATV.

It is a hard trail in the beginning and the best view is at the end of the first elevation gain stretch. the up 190m down 190m at then end then looping back is where you get to see browns point but I wouldnt say that last stretch is worth it.

This is the steepest and hardest trail that I have hiked is SW Utah. I only went 2.5 miles in as I was battered, bruised and bloodied.
