It is an easy walk to a dead end. It is pretty in the canyon and nice to see the formations up close

Short and easy hike that is SO WORTH doing! In my opinion the end view of this hike is cooler than that of Upper pouroff trail, and it requires much less effort to get there (although I definitely still recommend doing the Upper trail to walk through the canyon and see the pouroff from a different angle). The pouroff was massive and very impressive. A beautiful structure that demonstrates the amazing history and geography of the area.

Nice short, easy trail to view the bottom of the pouroff. Not as spectacular as the upper trail, but i enjoyed doing both.

Very easy hike but not much shade. Did see bear And mountain lion prints along the way. Be always on a lookout.

Short and easy. The prettiest/coolest parts are the beginning and end. This is a must do if you are going to do the Upper trail. It gives context to how that one ends.

This is an easy trail to a very interesting geological feature.

Short hike following a dry creek bed to the pouroff. Amazing feature. Worth the effort to get there.

The upper part is more fun than the lower part.

Wonderful lesser-know trail in the Western area of Big Bend. The upper part of the trail is about a 4-mile round trip and follows a drainage through several small but scenic canyons. There is a natural arch above the trail which you can scramble into. The trail ends abruptly at a beautiful grotto where you are stopped by a sheer 100-foot drop-off. The trail is relatively flat, though there is a little easy rock scrambling to do. Recommended!

Easy hike with two canyons along the way. Definitely recommend doing this.

After following a trail for a short distance you begin to follow a dry creek bed until you get to the dry waterfall. Along the way we saw tons of lizards and even a few velvet spiders. Once we got to the waterfall my friend and I climbed up into the cave and saw a pretty huge moth.

The hike is short and easy and leads directly to the bottom of an eroded cutout in the canyon. The view is amazing, and there is another hike that runs along to the top of the waterfall. While climbing to the lower cutout area, a huge moth was found sleeping in the darkness. There was also many kinds of insects and lizards all along the trail to observe, including some red spider mites!

I completed this trail the other day. I've always hiked in West Virginia and Kentucky. But I enjoyed hiking here more.

The picture of the sign is no longer there, as it was in 1994. My brother-in-law climbed up into the cave, which is almost impossible today.

I've done this trail about 10 times over the years. It's about 1/2 mile one way; and follows a creek bed almost the entire distance. You end up at a dry waterfall (over 100' high)

We took this in the early afternoon and it was quite hot. Short and not hard. Not much to see because it had been soooo dry. However at the end the Pour-off is spectacular so this short trail is worth it to take.
