Perfect for hiking and walking with the dog. Lots of diversity in the area and open plains to let the dog run around for a while. Fairly light traffic, and enough space where you won’t run into a lot of people on the trail.

Mountain Biking is well maintained! 3 different trails which are each based off of experience. Space for hikers to be in the side of the mountain bike trail.

First time to this trail. It is very well maintained and has a great mix of forest and open trail. There are a few open trail sections thar are extended so make sure to bring plenty of weather. In the forest area there are lots of switchbacks, some sections with a creek in between both sides of the trail. If I lived close, this would be my go to location.

This trail is THE best Mountain Bike Trail on the I-75 corridor. It is easy for beginner bikers, but also offers optional challenges for more the more experienced. The trail is constantly maintained and improved and there is a healthy hike and bike community.

This trail has very heavy traffic on the weekends. Can be difficult to hike/run on due to sharing the trail with lots of mountain bikers. Would be a great running trail at low traffic times, elevation changes are very mild and about half of it is shaded.

This trail is very easy going with a few slight quick changes in elevation, no major climbs or downhills, just a few bumps/ ups/ downs along the route. Partially shaded, partially open. Very calm, and my dog loved it. (We cheated and went off leash, he was good with passing bike riders and they were good with him too.)

We did this hike yesterday...got to the TH at about 7:30am...it was already buzzing. We hiked the clockwise direction and had to dodge the mountain bikers all the way. Most were nice...a few not so much. But it was a lovely hike...we took the “hard” trail about 4 miles in...it was not too bad actually. Btw we couldn’t find the TH entrance to go counter clockwise at the onset. Awesome hike overall...also quite good for runners as it was well packed. We would do this again...but there are a just a few other trails we’d like to conquer as well. Enjoy!

This trail is AMAZING! This was exactly what we were looking for! Nice shaded trail with some great ups and downs for some actual “hiking!” Not too overcrowded and everyone is so polite! Beautiful area along the creek! We saw a few lizards and some dragonflies and butterflies! We will definitely be back to finish this amazing trail!!

The plan was to go 7.8 miles, but having kids with us, we had to switch it up. So we cut it at 3 miles and I must say this is an amazing trail with good traction. Did see a copper head, but we pushed it to the side

Great trail for the area. Well kept. Mixture of woods and prairie areas full of flowers. Plenty of opportunities to cut the full loop short for convenience. Did over half today because that’s all that I had time for but I look forward to coming back to finish.

Muddy, however that was to be expected. Keep your map open, trail is not marked clearly. Fun with my 12 year old and 2 dogs. We will be back!

Great place to take your dog. The path is essentially a long bike trail, but right now it’s closed to the bikes. Perfect for hiking and walking with the dog. Lots of diversity in the area and open plains to let the dog run around for a while. Fairly light traffic, and enough space where you won’t run into a lot of people on the trail.

Great trail. Trail is secluded and well maintained. Used our Trails GPS map bc the trail itself has very few markets. Great mix of terrain. I would definitely rank it as more of an easy hike.

Great place. Different terrain creates a pleasant experience. Trail tough to follow on the prairies as they are rerouting it. Lots of water. Seemed remote.

A rare park that will soon be surrounded by the suburbs, but is big enough to experience some quiet notwithstanding the occasional cow moo or airplane. Rolling hills provide some elevation changes and the scenery during a hike or ride switches from bottomland forest to grassy plain. Great place to escape to, especially if you live close by.

Wish it was marked better. It was difficult to follow at times. We did enjoy the elevation, made it a bit more challenging. It was also shaded well most the trail. We will try it again.

Love this trail and run out there as much as possible. Mostly single track with hard packed dirt and some rocky areas. Just enough elevation gain and technical sections to make it interesting. Mix of shaded and open sections. DORBA does a great job of maintaining the trail. The only downsides are that it can get really crowded with mountain bikers and there are a ton of copperheads out there depending on the season.

Great trail, lots of routes and plenty of things to do. Nice scenery. You can go walking, jogging, running and biking. You can bring your dogs. You can camp. No payment fees for use. Trails are well maintained. They have several dirt ramps that are massive and several biking courses.

Went early on a monday, very few people. This is the second trail the wife and I have been on since we started hiking this month. It had what I was looking for. Scenic, spend most time in wooded areas, moderate dirt trails, open fields elevation changes, some obstacles, a nice running creek and small wooden bridges. Just did 4 miles today. Only past 3 bikers and was easy to stay out of the way and share a friendly greeting. It seems you can also enter the trails from any designated camp site. We will certainly be back to do more exploring.
