First hike in almost a year. Trail needs work but I love this place. Great for short cardio workout.

Great trail with some good views and restful bench areas. A little overgrown at parts near the water, but not too much.

Great dog friendly trail. Just hiked today, 7/10/19, and there are three large downed trees over the trail. One caused us to leave the trail for 50 ft. or so—the other two were easy enough to climb over. The trail has a lot of vegetation on the river stretch (1 and 1/2 miles). If you are sensitive to leafy plants, wear long pants.

A little overgrown. However, it is summer. A few trees down. I'm sure they will take care of them in a few weeks.

Nice trail with little traffic. Not really easy as it is quite narrow and there are a lot of rocks and roots. I agree that one should go right at the fork a so as to have the river and dam views on the return.

Go to the right to start the trail loop, so you’ll get to walk back with the view of the dam! Can’t wait to re do the trail when the flowers are blooming.

Great Hike! I stayed to the right to hit the high points of the trail first and then enjoyed the view and the way back!

Great trail

This is a moderate trail . In many places it's very narrow. If you follow the entire trail it's quite an incline, not an easy trail by no means. My fitbit said we climbed 52 flights of stairs when we completed the loop. The views were amazing and the hike was very much enjoyed.

Great trail; wonderful in the spring to see wildflowers.

Great variation but I only do it in winter months because of abundance poison ivy.

Easy hiking trail with enough elevation to create interest. Thanksgiving Day trek with great views.

This trail is absolutely awful! I've done many trails but never have I encountered so many spider webs I turned around after half a mile. It was a shame because it has very pretty views it just wasn't worth running into spider webs every ten feet.

This is my favorite "short trail." The elevation gives you a decent workout without beating you to death

The trail was very thin past the split, and there looked to be a good bit of poison ivy along the sides.

Beautiful hike along the river. Well-marked and easy to follow. Disappointed that there was not a good area to get out and swim.

Excellent trail! I actually like the top better than the part running adjacent to the river. I will definitely do this again.

All around good trail. A few small hills for your change in elevation pleasure and level strolls down by the river to balance out the cardio. It's a great setting for the cardio impact of your choice. Seriously

Took the Wildflower Walk on the lower portion of this loop and it was wonderful. The trail is not difficult and we saw many varieties of wildflowers and enjoyed scenic views of the Clinch River and Norris Dam. Will definitely be back.
