The map depicted is incorrect. However the trail is easy to find. If you go 2.5 miles up TN -107 (Unicoi TN) you will see Indian Creek campground. Immediately as you turn in if you take a hard right there is a rugged off road trail that leads down to the creek. That is the trail. Do not pull down this if you have a trailer or none off road vehicle. The owners of the campground seem friendly so I doubt they would oppose allowing parking. (I would ask though). I do love this trail. Particularly for off-roading, but also for mountain biking and trail running. It’s gradual elevation climb makes it not too challenging, depending on how much you want to do.

This is our go to trail Dark Hollow. There is an extension trail over to the Little Dark Hollow loop which takes five hours on horses. We sometime just ride the extension trail and the up the Loop trail a bit and back track. But even that is enjoyable. Great parking but that the back driveway loop to right out to avoid pulling back out on curve in main road.

We followed gps to this location with a loaded 20 ft horse trailer and the road leads to a private driveway (with not very understanding landowners) and had to back the trailer 1/4 mile to a place to turn around

I was unable to find the trail-head even with GPS. It is easy to find the Carver road, but after few hundred yards it disappears and all you see small roads that lead to houses.

You could easily do some mtn biking or horse back riding on this trail. It's a very easy and wide trail to walk on with some water crossing. If you keep following the trail you eventually come to a river you either cross and walk the highway back to your car or turn around and walk back.
