Steep trail. Perfect for horseback riding and trail running. No real views. Tough workout.

Great trail, not crowded saw some hunters and their dogs but that was it. Only one other person parked at trailhead. That said, the actual trailhead was a bit difficult to find but we did eventually

Had a good hike. The ground on the top was covered by snow and ice from the trees. Quite a few blown-downs. I actually missed a turn/entrance since there was a large tree fallen right at that spot and just walk-passed it. Not much view until near the top but the trail was nice with vegetation right by the trail.

I say the hike is more on the strenuous side. It is so very worth it though!

So grown up we had to turn around before making it to the top. Challenging hike, though, if that's what you're looking for. Offers almost no views. There is pretty spot early on that crosses a stream, which the dogs enjoyed. I wouldn't do it again, but I definitely got a workout in.

Trail is a bit overgrown. Not much to see on it. At least you'll get some exercise.

Good, steep hike. Not the best maintained but it's doable. Can access stamping ridge and Unaka mountain from this trailhead.

I took this hike thinking it would be a moderate 3.2 mile hike. Found out it has an elevation gain around 1,200 feet, so you're climbing up the majority of the hike. This is one way and the trail ends before the top but the top has amazing views. So if you go to the top it's a 7 mile hike total. It started off sunny at 60 degrees and turned rainy and temps dropped to the 40s when I got to the trail end.
