Once you park in the lot the trail goes off to the LEFT of the sign that says 170. Easy, rewarding hike. The falls area is great, lots of nice pools and rocks to sit on. There are bees in this area, be aware if you are allergic.

SHORT AND VERY EASY TRAIL TO FOLLOW TO A GREAT FALLS. GREAT ADDITION TO FAMILY DAY TRIP. MAYBE A LITTLE HARD IN JULY AND AUGUST SINCE IT ALL UP HILL BACK TO THE PARKING LOT. IF YOU LIKE CASING WATERFALLS THIS WON'T DISAPPOINT. I DROVE AN HOUR TO GET HERE ON A COLD, CRISP 23 DEGREE JANUARY MORNING AND IT WAS WELL WORTH IT.

Easy trail, howbeit a pretty steady incline on the return trip. I rate it mid-level easy, because of its short length (1.4m). Still, worth the drive to see this beauty of a waterfall!

Great family trail. We will come back in the summer to swim at the falls.

A heck of a hike. Steep mountainside, I had to rest three times on the way back up. The drive there was just as hilly and long. It’s relatively short and the waterfall made it all worth it. We saw a bunch of crawfish in between the rocks. Make sure you GO RIGHT when the road splits. The sign says 34A or something like that. Then at the dead end the trail is marked 170 on your left.

The trail was nice and maintained. It’s not an easy hike by most standards but not quite a moderate rating either. I passes several small children who were having no difficulty. The water was flowing nicely despite the lack of rain. Several swimming spots. The road to the trailhead has been recently repaired. Fresh gravel has been put out and no real areas of washout. As of right now, any type vehicle should make it easily

The worst part of this trail was the drive up to the trailhead. There are rocks and roots and wash outs but it’s a nature trial and that’s to be expected. The falls were pretty but opted out of getting in the water after almost stepping on a snake on the rocks. It was a great and easy trail overall.

This trail was treacherous! I didn’t go any further than the area where the Creek feeds into the Falls! There were tree roots sticking out everywhere once I got down the 1st 10 minutes of the Trail . Saw Fresh Bear Scat ! There were also boulders that had to be crossed. It’s also a very steep trail ! I’m not the only person who turned around today. I did enjoy walking in the ice cold Spring water where I stopped! & it was beautiful! Did not think it was safe f/ me to continue the last 1/2 mile to the Falls! & yes, this is my 1st Mountain Trail Hike & I was by myself... for the record!

This is my favorite trail! The falls are so much fun to play in, and there's little pools too. If you're willing to brave the road up there, it's worth it! Oh, and go right at the fork, not left. Left takes you into some sketchy terrain

The road to the trailhead is passable by passenger car, at least today. It gets narrow and there are a couple of places you have to pick your line, but you’ll get there. The trail itself is great. There is one rock scramble that’s pretty easy, and otherwise a mostly easy trail. The climb back up will test your endurance, but it’s short, so even if you’re as bad out of shape as me you’ll be fine with just a couple of breaks. Plan ahead whether you’ll swim/wade, and whether you want to have dry clothes in your bag for the walk back up or if you’ll just walk wet. Also choose your shoes accordingly. I admit I was glad to have boots on.

It was really fun hike. Half the fun is getting to the trail! Awesome picture opportunities!

Just getting up the the trailhead is a challenge in itself. The road is pretty washed out, we have an off roading vehicle and didn’t have a problem but anyone without an SUV is going to have trouble. The trails was surprisingly moderate, it’s all downhill on the way down and up back. It’s a pretty steady walk uphill also, we had to stop a few times, went in June and it got very hot. Overall, the falls were okay but not worth the hike if you are looking for something easy to get to.

THE ROAD IS FINE.. Put it 4H today when I got there after reading reviews. Completely unnecessary. There was on big rut just drove to the side of it. Seriously they road is fine, don't let the reviews keep you from going. Google gets confused on the directions. Go until the road kinda Ts then go right, (there is a sign with an arrow) go right and the road dead ends at the the trail. The falls were beautiful but lots of trash, kind of sad really.

As stated before, the road to the falls could use some work. Someone had put a sign where the road T’s pointing to the right so I followed it and found the small parking area without a problem. The falls are worth the trip, so don’t let getting there deter you any.

The road to the trail was so washed out I couldn’t make it in my suv to get to it. Don’t try this road in your car without 4wd

Well maintained trail. The road was rough, but we made it up in a VW Jetta without issues. All downhill to the falls then all uphill back.

Good hike. A little boring at the beginning but not for long. The falls are very worth it. The trailhead is not marked at all. If it wasn't for this app, Google maps, and my logic, we wouldn't have found it. The road leading up to it is terrible. Don't do it in a car. You will bottom out. The non paved portion is better than the paved portion. You'll get to a T intersection. Go right. Google maps will lead you to believe its left.

This trail never disappoints. The waterfall makes up for the uphill hike back to your vehicle. 1.6 miles so it’s not too overwhelming.

The drive in is a bit rough. Once you get to the trail it’s a nice hike in to the falls and a pretty fall at the end.

Well maintained trail! Getting to the trail via the drive is the hardest part. It’s got good elevation and you can stop and rest as needed. The base of the falls has plenty of sitting spots.

I loved this hike. short and sweet with an amazing waterfall at the end

This is a really nice and short hike, downhill in and uphill out 1.5 miles round trip. Be prepared for a rough but fun and passable dirt road.

Yes the road to get there is rather rough but hikers aren’t pansy-asses and so you’ll all do fine and manage fine. The hike is short but the falls are cool. Nice trail to get there too. Really enjoyed this little jaunt.

The trail is narrow and not for walking side by side. Going in is mostly downhill which gives you a work out on the way out. The trail was marked however the road getting there was not.

The drive in wasnt too bad. We were in a Mazda 3 2wd car and had zero issues. The road a little rough, looked like a storm came through with a lot of debri in the road. When the road comes to a fork, go right. The sign there is broken off, cant read it. The road will dead end, park there and the trail all the way to the left. Once you're on the trail follow the white markings on the trees. The trail is a decline all the way to the falls. Half way down the trail gets a little harder with rocks and tree roots. It took us about 20minutes to hike to the falls and what a beautiful site. Also had our dog with us and we were the only ones on the trail. Pictures uploaded.

Great trail that adds a little challenge to an otherwise short walk. Watch for snakes.

The drive in is not nearly as bad as previous reviews.....typical National Forest Road in good condition. 2WD is good to go. There were at least 6 cars at the trailhead when we left. None were 4WD. Hike is short and only tricky towards the end. Beautiful falls!
