From the historic site, you follow the signs along the trail around a pond (can go either way around to vary route). This trail leads to OSR and crosses to the fall trail. There is a bulletin board with information and then it is about 0.5 miles to the falls and takes you through a swamp like area/cove forest area and would probably be beautiful in the spring and fall. Old trees are also all around. The falls allow up-close access and is a 60 ft stepped waterfall that forms from headwaters atop Station Mountain.

Wonderfully managed trail. wide open trails. Miles are off but worth every step. Great place to base camp at Oconee state park and explore. great for all skill levels even kids. Great hike will be back as there are so many trail options.

absolutely loved it. there is a random dog (nice one) that is known to "hike" the trail. he does have an owner that lives close by. he loves being petted by other hikers. also are there other waterfalls on this trail?

perfect hike

Great easy 1.2 mi in and 1.2 back to waterfall

Great trail for families. Easy hike with a great waterfall at the end. Plenty of room to hang out near the Falls.

This was a great hike with a stunning waterfall at the end! I hiked with my dog on a Sunday afternoon the first week of October. The trees were still green but starting to change a bit. It was a fun trek!

Nice trail! Well kept! Very shady.

Easy trail, well marked and kid friendly. Nice place to play in the shallow pools too. Trail is mostly shaded and the water was crisp, cool and a fun place to play.

If you like to hike start at the parking lot at the Oconee station. If you want the shorter version. Leave the Oconee station turn right go one tenth mile park one left side of road and hike to falls. From this location falls is .75 miles. If you start from parking lot it is 1.5 miles and trail crosses the road. Really easy hike. Great falls

Short hike but a great waterfall.

Quick and easy walk through the woods to a beautiful waterfall. With this waterfall on one end and a historic fort on the other, this place is great.

What a beautiful easy walk in the woods, and what a sight to end at! That waterfall is straight out of a fairy tail book. I was a little confused about where to start. When you see the signs for Oconee Station on the right coming in, you can pull in and there are restrooms and some signage, and I didn’t realize you could start the hike there. If you are looking for the shorter 1.5 hike, then you go down the street a ways, and on the left there will be a little pull off and a sign talking about the falls. Was shady and flat, and a fun time for newbies like me :)

Super easy and beautiful! Be careful getting in the water. The rocks are very slippery! Yeah I fell

Nice, easy hike. Trail is relatively flat and even. The falls are beautiful.

This trail is super easy and has a beautiful waterfall at the end. I’ve hiked this trail for years and it’s great for all ages and skill levels. The only thing is during the summer bug spray is helpful.

It's a great little path to bring the pup on, got there at a great time and got go experience the falls with no one else around. Definitely reccomend this one for an easy hike.

The trail is very kid friendly, free of fallen branches and sticks. It is overall an easy hike, it’s very flat, and the waterfall at the end was so pretty! It is shaded well. My only advice is to beware of ants. There’s a TON of ants on this trail.

This “hike” is so easy it almost feels like cheating. It’s shaded and flat. I don’t know of any other trails this long that’s even close to being as easy as this one. Nice falls, too.

Easy trail with nice falls. Small parking area with room for about 6 cars, but parking along road is ok.

Great short trail with a beautiful ending! Wonderful place to take the kids and cool off.

Nice even trail. I had my German shepherd who loved playing in the water at the falls! Saw a snake on a log at the falls but it paid no attention to me! Would hike again!

Nice easy hike. Beautiful Fall. Could use a clean up crew to clear debris at base of the fall.

Beautiful falls and easy hike to get to them with either a 3 mile round trip from Oconee Station or a 1.5 from parking on the main hwy just down from Oconee Station.

Easy out and back. A lot cooler than surrounding area. Well worth the hike.

Nice hike, surprisingly impressive falls

Easy and well marked. When you park the first half of the trail is more narrow and by pond then you'll actually cross the road to continue and the path is much wider and easier to walk. Parking is free with optional donation box.
