Moderate grade, excellent views to Table Rock & Caesars Head. This hike was a great little surprise. The trail is great for all ages and the views are excellent from the granite outlook. You can park at the trailhead or drive all the way to the top and walk down the trail to the lookout. Take the longer route, the trail is worth it.

Great views in the winter. This was a very easy hike and the views are amazing. You can see Greenville's skyline, Paris Mountain, Ceasar's Head, Table Rock and more from Glassy Mountain. The trail was easy to follow and not strenous.

Sólo hicimos los senderos alrededor del parqueo, pero fue hernosooo...tomamos unas lindas fotos... la piedra es impresionante...parece un tanto peligrosa en el extremo derecho...debe ser hermoso la ruta completa

The trail was an easy trail to hike with a good view but not managed and a bit out of the way. The trail head sits at the top of the mountain under radio towers and like I said, you go out of the way to really get here. If you wanna get out of the house for an hour or so, it’s a good little trail to get some exercise.

Love this trail. seems like no one really knows about it and it has one of the most rewarding views for such a laid back hike. Will be integrating this trail into my regular rotation.

Not bad. A good start for a beginner. Carry walking stick for snakes and .357 magnum or .44 magnum S&W for any large predators you may encounter-just in case.

Short and sweet. The view is worth your time. From Glassy Mtn. Church Rd., you're going to take a sharp right onto S. Glassy Mtn. Rd. You can park on the side of the road right there and start the hike, or you can drive a short distance and park next to the communication towers. The trailhead is next to the towers.

I would do it again for the view. The trial is very shaded and the path is clear. The plants on the side of the trail have grown over the trail in some parts so I recommend wearing something on your legs. I wore shorts and regretted it. Great hike for kids.

Short and easy hike with beautiful views at the lookout. Keep a close eye out for the trailhead; it’s very easy to miss. Terrific walk if you’re into native plant life. The only reason I didn’t give this four stars is that the rock face at the lookout is very heavily defaced with graffiti and litter. Still worth it for the views!

Late March is a great time of year to hike this trail. The views are not disrupted by the foliage and the trail is not overgrown. Beautiful views from near the top . . . on short side trails. A short, but rewarding hike.

Despite keeping a close eye for the trailhead, I still missed it

Really fun, pretty easy trail. Great views and lookouts, as well as very interesting rock formations and plant life! I recommend parking at the “bottom” of the trail, RIGHT after you turn onto glassy mtn rd! Easy to miss the sign at the head of the trail, we did the first time, so follow directions closely!

The best view is found on the rock face that looks west, but this one is not technically on the trail. You can find it by starting at the top of the mountain and going around behind the fenced in area. Also, parking is poor and the road conditions are pretty rough, so be wary! Great place for a picnic, and a wonderful place to watch the sunset!

Super easy hike, and the lookout is amazing. The rock can sometimes we very slippery, so be careful while enjoying the view.

Decent hike in November. Was a little slippery but overall good hike. Hike trail is small and can be dangerous if wet or in the summer due to snakes. Beautiful outlook area and good exercise. Took my dog with us and she enjoyed it. Parked on side of the road. Trail is a little confusing to find so park on the road and walk to trail

LOVE this trail!

The main trail is fairly easy to follow, but this trail is super overgrown. I wouldn’t take small children and wear long pants. If you are near by, it’s a quick walk to an amazing overlook, but save this for the fall. Sunbathing snakes! The overgrowth make them hard to spot. We saw one small snake going to the overlook, and my 15 year old STEPPED ON a sizable one on the way back. Some locals indicated that there are numerous timber rattlers in this area. We won’t go back.

I don’t know if it’s always like this, but the trail was super overgrown. Totally our fault for not wearing pants, but thank goodness we had on bug spray. I did it with my 3 year old and my 10 month old baby in a backpack carrier and my 3 year couldn’t enjoy the hike due to batting off plants in her face the entire time. The overlook is gorgeous though, making the hike/walk worth it...for me a least haha.

Easy walk. Rained when I went which made it a bit slippery. Loved the view and peace. Trail head feels hidden by all the overgrowth; however, I loved the fact there weren’t a lot of people on the trail. I loved this trail. Wish it was longer! Needs to be cut a bit because it is a tad overgrown. Wonderful view. Not any designated parking, must look for trail.

breathtaking views and although a little grown up the trails were gorgeous as well.. the trail head isn't far past the fork (there's a yield sign on the opposite side of the road) we parked on the side of the road. there's quiet a few different paths and weren't marked very well but wasn't much of an issue. overall great hike and will definitely visit again

Just the right length for 3 elementary school kids to stay excited without getting bored. Wonderful view. People are having trouble finding the trail head because the sign fell over and is laying beside it. It's on the right side of the road about 150 feet or so up the road from the yield sign, which is on the left side of the road. It was clean and no trash. I had the kids wear pants because someone said there were ticks. No ticks, but that turned out to be a good idea because the path is narrow in places and there is some poison ivy, though no more than any other trail I've hiked. Hesitated after some of the reviews here, but so glad we did it. You should, too.

well worn trail, nowhere designated to park but we just parked on the side of the road across from the sign so no biggy. views are great and my dogs loved the shorter trail for a change !
