This is very nice hike for the seasoned hiker. Those who have never hiked much in the past will have a harder time on this trail. Most of the path is very nice and wide, making it very easy to travel with a partner. The trail runs through the forest and gives the hiker a great view of different types of trees and even some shrubs, but there are no overlooks that provide a great view of the area. Once you have hiked for about a mile you will cross over a small creek and the path will fork. At the intersection go right. When you come to another intersection take another right, you will walk over a vehicle barrier. If ever in doubt, stay right. Not long while you are on this path the trail starts to disappear, but you can hear the falls. This is where the trail leaves you on your own to find the falls.

Down and up trail mostly on a primitive forest road. Last part of trail was steep without many footholds. Waterfall was nice with a small rock ledge area to sit and have lunch.

Many trees down to go over or under. Wooded so no real vistas to see. Mostly an old logging / 4x4 road with ruts and stones. The falls were lovely but again trees down into fall area and no place to really splash and play

Just like other reviewers said, first 90% of hike is an easy, wide path. It almost looks like you can drive down the path but I wouldn't recommend it. Park on side of the road. There is no sign marking the trail. The last 10% is a steep, overgrown, downhill trek. There are no spots to sit & chill at the waterfall. Fun hike but wouldn't take small children down to the waterfall.

Awesome hike! Watch out for a lot of trees that block the trail, but the falls are amazing when you get there. Watch for the ribbons that mark the trail.

Great wide path, bunch of trees down blocking trail. Before you get to the falls it is really steep and narrow only about 250 ft then the falls will appear. Beautiful falls up close and personal I would do it again and pack a lunch

STAY RIGHT!! The trail wasn't marked very well and the roadside parking was a little sketchy. However, the falls were very pretty and worth the hike! There is an upper and lower section of the falls, so I would encourage you to check out both! The last little bit is pretty step, so be ready. Trail Review Video: https://youtu.be/V4UXuPJjJMY

The hike was Good except I was the only one doing the entire hike To start with, there is no marking that says there is a hike, there will be a muddy road going indicating the start of the hike. You can park on the side of the road but there are not many spots (I was lucky, I was the only one but was still concerned about the safety of the car) The trail is not well marked but the muddy pathway is about 15 feet wide for most of the part and you can just follow that. There will be few points where the roads goes in two directions but try to be on the right. The last part of the hike is really steep and you have to literally crawl down holding roots and branches. The waterfall is really nice and rewarding. I will not risk taking children and pets if I want to go to the waterfall. You have to crawl down even to see that as it’s not visible from a distance.

The reviews are right, the short last bit to the falls is VERY steep going downhill. Once you're done viewing the falls and start heading back, you have to essentially crawl up what you just slid down. It was fun though! Definitely an adventure. If the rest of the hike had been as scenic as the end, I would have rated this higher. Side note- the trails are not well marked. There are pink flags that are accurate for a while, but once you hit an odd shaped hump in the trail, you pretty much deviate away from the pink flagging and go through a trail that is much thinner and less defined than what you had gotten used to. Second side note- there's no where to park. You have to park on the side of the road. The trail starts right off of the road with no sign.

90% of the hike was great. 10% was very difficult due to the steepness of the hike.

This was a fantastic hike! 90% of it was gently sloping (from high to low) and beautiful; the last 10% was really challenging- more for me (age 45) than my son (age 14). The falls were beautiful and worth the effort to descend the last bit to the creek. The hike down took us about one hour and 15 minutes. The hike back up took about thirty minutes longer, with stops for rest. We would do this again for sure.

A really enjoyable hike and beautiful waterfall at the end. Well worth the effort on finding this trail and getting out there. While we were there we only ran across one other hiking party. Tons of downed trees crossing the trail but nothing to force you back. Not the easiest to find, and while on the trail keep looking for the little pink plastic ribbons to help with directions.

Me and my old roommate hiked this last year. The trail was hard to spot we passed it twice. Once on the trail it was nice we both had our dogs with us we were the only ones on the trail it didn't take us long to hike it. The falls where pretty and we walked down the falls a good ways as well. All in all I plan on going this year again.

Followed the directions/map and COULD NOT find the trailhead. Ended up hiking from the nearby fish hatchery toward the Chattooga.
