Quiet hike in old woods along the Willamette River You start from Takena Landing Pakr and walk along the Willamette River passing by the Golf Club of Oregon, under the railroad tressel, and through a canopy of trees and vines. The trails hugs the river most of the way, making a small loop at the end before you head back. Several places along the way give you a beautiful view of the river. Trail is packed dirt, will be muddy when it rains.

9/6/2019. Easy to think your off trail, first time we headed north, then came back wondering if we got off trail. Then restarted the opposite, saw were we made the mistake. easy, interesting program they started there, haven't seen it in summer.

Good for a quick run or for a dog walk. I wouldn't recommend it for just a hike. Nice wooded stroll if you need to clear your mind or something.

easy hike. A couple of downed legs and a patch has been washed out by flooding but it's still doable without kids

If you're looking for a hike that youngsters can do with you this is the one. Very easy, but pretty in spring and fall (it gets pretty brown in summer).

Perfect quiet trail, I'll walk it twice on a nice day to get 5 miles. You can walk over from town, I do quite often on a hot day as it's very shaded and right next to the river. A moderately used trail especially by local runners and walkers (I run into people I know fairly often) so it doesn't have the stigma it used to of car break ins and drug users. If you're in Downtown Albany and want to walk over to get away for a bit, it's ideal.

A little underwhelming, but a nice walk along the river :)

A nice spot for a run. Living in Albany, there aren't very many trails to run near by.

Nice day hike, mostly flat and all inclines are gradual. It's great for a hot summer day because there is a lot of shade from the trees.

Great little path! One of my favorites for walking your dog. Though use caution a majority of people using this path do not leash their dogs.

Great little walk along the Willamette River. In 2011 the city added native planting after some infrastructure work. very nice spot Easy hike. Out and back.

This is a wonderful day hike. The reviewers about the trees and blackberries need to take a botany class . we enjoyed the pines, ash, maples and more besides the cottonwoods. The trails to the river are wonderful in late fall when the river is low. This trail is smooth, level and excellent for small kids and elder adults besides bikers. it is well worth it so close to town
