South Slope Trail ist ein 1.1 Meilen langer, wenig besuchter Hin- und Rückweg in der Nähe von Hector, New York.Es gibt oftmals Wildtiere zu sehen. Aufgrund der Steigung und Distanz ist die Strecke für alle Leistungsniveaus geeignet. Hier kann hervorragend gewandert und spaziert werden. Hunde sind erlaubt, müssen allerdings an der Leine gehalten werden.

Directions from the South, take State Route 14 North (Exit 52 off State Route 17) to Watkins Glen, NY. In Watkins Glen, turn right at the Fourth St intersection onto State Route 414 North. Go approximately 9 miles north, past the Hector Ranger Station of the Finger Lakes National Forest. 0.5 miles past the Ranger Station, turn right on Schuyler County Route 2. Go east 3 miles then turn right onto County Route 4. Go south 3 miles to Wyckoff Road, turn right, and follow Wyckoff Road to Burnt Hill Road. Turn left onto Burnt Hill Road and follow it to the parking area located on the left side of the road. Start hiking following the signs and blaze marks. From the North, take State Route 414 South to Hector, NY (Exit 41 off I-90). In Hector, 0.5 miles past Wickhams Plaza, turn left onto County Route 2, the second asphalt road on the left. Go east 3 miles then turn right onto County Route 4. Go south 3 miles to Wyckoff Road, turn left, and follow Wyckoff Road to Burnt Hill Road. Turn left onto Burnt Hill Road and follow it to the parking area located on the left side of the road. Start hiking following the signs and blaze marks.
