The Ellen Farrant Memorial Bikeway is a paved path that parallels the Wantagh Parkway from Cedar Creek Park to Jones Beach. To one side is highway and to the East are marshes, waterways and tidal flats and all the nature and scenery that comes with it. The Southern terminus of the trail ends in a huge set of bike racks and signs warning that bicycles are not allowed on Jones Beach.

Great trail that extends on out along Ocean Parkway to Tobay Beach. Round trip (to Tobay and back) is about 20 miles.

Overall a very well paved trail with very moderate inclines to bike on. Left Cedar Creek Park and made it to the pencil at Jones Beach in less than 40 minutes. On the beach end you can buy food and water. Easy access to restrooms. Not much shade so go early or in the evening.

First half is a slow uphill climb from cedar creek to Jones, parking is free for Nassau residents $10 if you're not. Some bridges are tight and walkers take up entire path constantly. Overall good ride and coming back be ready for some downhill speed!!!

Beautiful views and easy ride. Went on to Jones beach and enjoyed the beach views and used the restrooms. Very convenient. I’d highly recommend to beginner and all levels of biking skills.

Well-paved pathway near Wantagh Parkway. Fairly level, few slight inclines along the way. Nice way to get to Jones Beach Boardwalk.

fairly flat except for the bridges. the wind can work against you. on the weekend it's fairly busy and not a lot of bike courtesy going on. decent ride.

8.5 miles to TOBAY!

All paved so it's friendly for longboarders, skateboarders, and rollerbladers. From the parking fields to the beach is a little more 4 miles and there are 3 bridges to cross over.

I never stopped moving but at least 5 ticks found me. Definitely spray the bug repellent before you go here.

A great path to run. Wish there were less cars passing by though.

Great bike path, even for beginners. The hardest part of this is the fact that is 4 miles each way and there are two big hills. However, for the hills you are encouraged to walk your bike up/down them. This path can be more difficult depending on the wind.

I always enjoy it I live in Merrick ride east on Merrick road ride down to the jones beach inn an go though cedar creek to the path go down to the beach wear my son is a guard to see him or to the Nikon theater to get tickets or Tobay for a ride it's about 15 miles round trip for me to the theater and a little over 20 to tobay depending on the wind it usually easy one direction.

Nice trail for rollerblading! Only negative is that you're along Wantagh Parkway the whole time so cars are constantly going by.
