Hard work, but worth it for the 360 views at the top. Recommend going up on Moat Train and down on Red Ridge. The train is well marked, and we ran into a few other hikers on a Sunday morning.

Good hike- I did the Red Ridge trail as an out/back to the Moat Trail junction. It’s relatively flat for quite a while, then steadily up. You are very exposed at the top; sun protection and lots of water are a must have. I’d say moderate difficulty level is appropriate.

Wonderful trail. Red ridge is really gorgeous, especially compared to Moat Trail. It’s worth the extra mileage just for the views and terrain. The hike in general is really varied, though it can get a little iffy when the rocks are wet. Stunning 360 views from North Moat. Summer means seeing a lot of people at Diana’s Baths so next time I go will be fall. Keep in mind there’s a $5 fee to park here.

Still a lot of snow at the end of April that made the climb up to the top (and the descent) very challenging. Crampons or spikes are a must. Many icy rocky spots on the top. The trail is fairly swampy all along the way, so make sure to have proper footwear. The view is gorgeous though. Totally worth the hike.

Nice stroll for awhile, then the work begins. The views are worth it! We started at Diana's bath and went up/back same Trail, not the loop. I think I was close to 10mi when all was said and done. Trails are well marked, groomed and dog friendly.

we tried to do Red Ridge trail but with the amount of melted snow we couldn't cross the river. So we continued up on Attitash trail to junction of North Moat. turned around at this point. the trail isn't steep very flat but enjoyable. Microspikes are a must. there were some frozen post holes beware fell in one when not concentrating. would do this trail in summer /fall/ even winter but definitely not in Spring. all the small streams would stop your progression.

This was a great trail...it was a casual stroll through the woods for a distance then you start the climb and you will climb..but the end is worth it..
