Strenous Hike, Great Views A very difficult hike over the caps. It is steep at times, the rocks are rugged and the trail demanding. There are places where treking poles are of no use mostly because of the steepness or the numerous holes between the boulders. It could be a great winter trip if there were access to the trailhead.

There was only a little snow left on the trail and it was packed down. It was a perfect temperature and little wind, but we were socked in with dense fog and light rain for the entirety of the time. Ended up stopping at Mt. Clay where the Jewell trail meets Gulfside. Will definitely be back on a clearer day

Absolutely crispy clear day, last day of winter hike season, fierce winds while summiting. We carried snowshoes, but didn't use them. The Trail is well broken in. Bring microspikes and balaclava. My buddy got the last NH 48th and we had the summit all to ourselves

This trail was crazy with all the rock step offs! We took this trail back down to town after we finish mount Washington. Our total trip was about 11 miles!

Really tough hike, but I recommend it for sure! Summit is so cold! I hiked it in June and there was still snow at the top!
