Great easy trail to get out into the national forest in Waterville Valley. Ends at some enormous old pine trees.

This is not a loop. Just hiked this yesterday. Knights Bridge (which showed on my GPS) does not exist. This is an out and back trail. Go up Irenes path to the overlook and continue on to the flume location. But then turn around. I went down the old scar trail that is very overgrown and forded the river at the end to get back to the road.

Scaur Trail [WVAIA] This trail has been retired. The upper portion of it, from the junction with the former Kettles Path (now Irene's Path) to the Scaur overlook, has been renamed as part of Irene's Path. The portion below this junction running down to the Mad River has been closed. There is no access to Greeley Pond Trail from the former Scaur Trail at this time. Flume Brook Trail has also been retired. Irene's Path connects to the Old Skidder Road and then the Livermore Trail.
