We randomly stumbled upon this trail and absolutely love it! We hiked 1.1 miles in and turned around from there. Would be a great running trail as well. Had to watch out for horse poop though.

The forest road was closed so I parked and planned to hike an extra mile to the trail head. When I got to the trailhead marked on the map, it was nowhere to be seen. It looked overgrown like there might have been a trailhead once but it currently isn’t maintained as of June 2019

I completed the trail to the Alpine 7 and back for an afternoon hike. The trail condition was in good but my choice of weather was not. It was rain/snowing on the way back down. Decent views of the swan valley, trail is mostly good for getting some where else. It crosses Peterson Creek right as it starts, no other water is available (provided you have a filter)
