Nice trail-The view of the lake was nice, there was not much else to see on the trail though. The drive to the trail was a bit of a challenge but is do-able in good conditions. We did not see any wildlife, but there was bear scat on the trail and several berry bushes, so be mindful of bears in the area.

Easy trail which you can extend to a 12 km out and back. Loved the small and natural path. Two spots with bear vescus but no sightings. At the lake were two northern harriers looking for prey. And a bold eagle. Beautifull

Super easy nice little hike. The views are OK at the lake. You’re walking through a farmer burn out. We still enjoyed it.

Easy hike except for the high humidity and temp. Found loons on the lake.

We didn’t make it far on this very isolated and tight trail. Brush and bugs were too much and the possibility of running into wildlife seemed high. We heard the lake is beautiful from our host family. A good trip for those who like real back country hiking!

Good hike. It was a long drive down narrow dusty road to get there and only parking for 5 cars. It is remote so we were worried about the bears. Hike goes through an area of the park that was burned decades ago so all new growth is in the last 15 to 20 years or so. That new growth is very dense and lush and beautiful. The trail seems to have been cut by a tractor about 10 feet wide. Once we got to Howe lake it is beautiful for sure. Areas around the lake are boggy. It would be nice to have a bit more trail around the lake and a spot to sit down and picnic but there was none.

It is a fairly easy hike. considering all that glacier has to offer, it was a bit underwelming. on a hot sunny day it can be a beat down. much of the trail is in the direct sunlight. wear lots of sunscreen and bring plenty of water. not much wildlife on the trail although we did see a deer at the lake. It is not easy to access the water with lots of vegetation. there was a tree down by the shore in the shade that made a great place to sit and take a break. this part of the park burned several years back and is making a slow come back. lots of wildflowers.

We did this hike a few weeks ago. It is an easy hike and once we arrived at the first lake we saw a moose that was hanging out in between the two lakes. We tried to fish it but didn't have any luck and the shoreline wasn't good for fishing.

Nice easy 4 mile trail. Very isolated with not much traffic. Beautiful area in Grizzly country. Be aware of your surroundings in this area and carry bear spray.
