Love this conservation Area! Beautiful views, lots of wild flowers, and tons of trails. Trails were mowed and easy to follow.

Lots of ground to cover and wildlife to see! Sights were nonexistent except for the pretty pond in the beginning. I loved all the loops and places to go.

A lot of very flat open fields, be sure to look to see what hunting season it is, during firearm deer and turkey season the horse trails are closed.

This is a pretty neat little area. There are several different loop options which will add or subtract distance on the trail. Once you get above Spring River, the views are amazing. I would suggest taking some time to go off trail and take in some of the sights. There are also a couple of geocaches out there, including one of the oldest in the state of Missouri.

If you plan on using this trail for mountain biking it it terrible. This conservation land is primarily used for hunting and horse trails. No singletrack just service roads and paths wide enough to drive a truck on. Great for hiking and hunting though.

May be a little difficult to find, but as soon as you cross over the Spring Rriver on 97 (if you are driving form I-44, Stott's City exit) take the dirt road to your right and follow about a mile. I use this trail as a practice trail with my backpack. The beginning of the trail (if you choose to turn right) runs along Spring River, then it takes a steep and trecherous path up the hill. The trail is pretty good after that. The river section tends to get washed out. This trail is primarily a horse trail. FYI - bring bug spray, lots of mosquitos, Spring River has high levels of bacteria.

For Hiking you will want to take a right on Farm Rd 2090 off of Hwy 97. Small gravel road after crossing Spring River. It will dead end at the Nature Trails. Very easy flat trails in wooded areas around Spring River. 2nd parking lot on the 2080 turn will take you to the lake area and horse trails. Horse trails seemed to be the main use for the area, alot of people on horse back and alot of nice big trails for them.
