I wouldn’t necessarily rate this “easy for all skill levels” due to narrowness, overgrowth, loose rock and last 100 feet direct ascent. It meandered along a creek that was dry. I loved it I had no problems some may want their hiking poles. A potential for 4 water crossings and rock creek scrambling if right season. It was pretty dry even after a rain the night before. Otherwise you’d cross the top of a small water fall! Very beautiful hardwood Forest with shade and open meadow areas abundant with wildflowers where butterflies fluttered everywhere. The cave is sweet and small but a thrill for any kid in us - I sat on top just listening. Great hike for a nature walk, a stretch of the legs and a little snack. The family (8 or older) would enjoy lunch and exploring up top. Beware dogs and small children would get ticks due to low overgrowth. Wear long pants or leggings and spray heavily. I was not bothered by gnats or no see-ums in my face. Fall color hike or light snowfall would make this great for all seasons!

While not technically closed, there were fires burning across the valley and the ground alongside the trail was freshly burnt and still smoldering and smoking in spots. We had our two dogs and opted not to hike here. We would have been breathing smokey air and with the winds blowing ash on us hiking was not a great option. I’m guessing controlled burns in the area are necessary.
