Brave Boat Headwaters is the Kittery Land Trusts newest Preserve. It comprises multiple parcels - some publicly accessible and some owned privately with Conservation Easements in place. When completed it will total 150 acres spanning from Brave Boat Harbor Road (Route 103) to Bartlett Road and connect US Fish and Wildlife Service's Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge to KLT's Norton Preserve. Roughly 100 of these acres will be accessible to the public. This preserve offers off-street parking and is open from dawn to dusk. There are currently 1.5 miles of trails.

About a 1.5 loop clearly marked trail in the woods. It is an off leash trail, but please be respect off leash considerations. I rarely encounter other traffickers but I have never encountered conflict in the experience. Just be respectful.

A beautiful quick walk, great for dogs, secluded, not heavily trafficked. A great place to remove from busy life.
