What a beautiful trail! From the arch and miles of rock formations to deep wooded area along the stream. The 5.8 mls listed on All Trails begins about 1.4 mls from parking lot past the arch.

Heads up there’s a $3 day use fee/pay station. All in all a challenging but doable hike. Went in late September and it was very hot and humid. I regretted not bringing more water with me. Trails were well maintained and fairly wide save for the first/last miles which hug the canyon wall a bit. Stop and take a photo of the trail summary at the info station on your way out. I found it very helpful at some of the less clear turns on the trail. I’ve uploaded some photos with directional arrows at the splits/turns to help clarify.

Did this trail today 09-08-2019 and had a great hike. We have done this before and enjoyed it and today we continued to see things we have never seen. The creeks crossings were all dry and it was an easy hike.

Made the entire loop and was 6.9 miles. Natural arch was amazing! The trail was alright followed a gravel road for awhile along with an ATV trail. Lots of big Hemlocks

There is an area u have to cross a creek and it’s like knee deep so a good resting point after you cross to dry the feet so bring a small towel to dry your feet. Very beautiful trail!!! Around the canyon is very cool ! After the creek for a little while is an ATV trail also and then you have to walk on a gravel road to get to the rest of the trail! It’s a must do!

What a beautiful hike! Just as cool as the natural bridge in RRG with about 1/100th of the people. We did the full loop which was about 6-7 miles. Some parts were dirt, some were gravel. Fairly flat with just a few inclines. The dirt part that intersects with the ATV trail was fairly rutted out and muddy but fine with hiking boots. Great with dogs, who also enjoyed a lot of little swimming holes.

Beautiful views of Natural Arch. Our dogs enjoyed the shade and swimming holes. Some rutted out portions from ATVs, but incredibly pleasant and enjoyable hike.

Did Natural Arch trail followed by Buffalo Canyon yesterday. Has definitely dried out since the last post but was still muddy in spots. Beautiful hike that was deserted--we saw only one person in 3.5 hours. We had to cross one stream mid-shin level that required wet feet but otherwise stayed dry. if you go clockwise you have to watch for the turn-off of Trail 508 from Cooper Creek Road, because the sign has fallen. The only uphill is the last few minutes as you approach Natural Arch. All in all, a really nice hike.

Did this 2 days ago, would wait until it dries out a bit. Had to cross fast moving cold water, knee deep at best. Couldn’t cross water at trail, washed out, had to hike along creek to find more shallow water, very slick and narrow, had to hold on to tree roots to keep from falling in water. Lots of running water on trail due to rain, very slick and muddy. Lots of downed trees. Still a beautiful hike with picturesque bridge. Nearly slid on my butt down a couple slopes. If we hadn’t had so much flooding this winter, I think the trail would be fine. Turn back if your first obstacle is too tough because it only gets worse. Never thought this trail would end without someone falling and getting hurt.

I would definitely recommend making sure you know the trail before you go. It coincides with ATV trails at a point and has a split that can get you turned around (especially if the creek is a little high). Phone measured it more like a 6.5-7 mile hike rather than the 5.8 posted, but overall beautiful and made for a great afternoon. This one is close to home so we will be back!

Great place to see fall colors. We did the longer hike, around 6 miles. Some uphill areas but all in all, a fairly easy hike. The arch is beautiful, really wish I'd attempted to climb to the top but wasn't sure if that was possible.

Did the Natural Arch trail only and then went to the Panoramic Tail and did it both great and well worth the effort, amazing views.

Its a choose your own adventure hike. The Natural Arch trail loop is only a bit over a mile but if you are looking to enjoy the longer hike take the bear canyon trail loop. The split is obvious and there are some great shots to see in addition to the Arch. It's trailhead is also a campground which is a plus. enjoy!

We did the full 6+ mile loop. The trail is great and we'll maintained. Be prepared to wade through at least one creek. There was only one spot that was a little confusing but if you look closely you can tell which path is more well traveled. As a side note after hiking some other local trails I'd rate this as more of a Moderate difficulty as there is some good climbs towards the end if you're going clockwise around the trail.

We’ve hiked this trail several times and love it! Very pretty in the fall and spring. Hiked about 1/2 mile in today, though and saw fresh bear marks on the trail. We just turned around and headed back out!

Good Family trail. Took my 11yr old that has a weak lower trunk and Autism and my 4yr old. Neither had any issues walking this trail. The scenery is amazing. God's creation is just breath taking.

It’s about a mile trek to the trail head. The start and end is a 1/4 mile of stairs. The first mile afterwards is a bit overgrown. There’s a nice rock cavern to take a quick break in a mile and a half in. 4 miles in, theres a really nice creek crossing if your hiking with dogs. You’ll actually cross the creek several. Times. Nice hike. The last stairs up are a killer and we ended up with picking off ticks from ourselves and the dogs, but a really nice hike. From the parking lot, the trek ended up being just over 7 miles

Easy trail with a few steps. Beautiful overlook and then an easy walk to under the arch. Good for a quick adventure

Fairly easy trail. Arch is worth seeing, other cool geological formations. Best view of arch is during late fall-early spring.
