The trail is easy but with big payoff for little walking between the upper and lower falls. both are accessible by car, each has a lot. My favorite part was suggested by a local: crossing the creek near the upper falls and following the rocks to go under the falls. You do have to get wet and that hike is more challenging and slippery. Getting back, there's a small trail that takes you up the hill and to the other side of the covered bridge.

I want to start by saying that it does cost money to visit this park. A ranger greets you at the entrance, $7 for Indiana residents and $9 for non residents. I read other reviews that said it was free- I don’t know where they parked but this parking lot is right against the falls. Once you pay you have access to the entire park. Anyways. The trailhead is nearby, lots of picnic tables. No trash cans or restrooms (one port-a-John). The trail going from the upper falls to the lower is very as-is. I loved it. You can eventually get down to some rocks and get a better view of the falls. The lower falls are peaceful, also accessible by car. Be prepared for the steep hills, but just like any area with waterfalls the topography is beautiful.

stopped for on a rainy day (some fog, mostly down by the stream) on 1-17-2019 and i had the park all to myself. not even an employee.there is a trail that goes from upper to lower and i was able to get the stream and get some pictures of the upper falls from ground level. but the mist and fog made it hard to get a clear shot. anyways this is the highest by water volume falls Indiana has to offer and i loved them. there is also some history here too. i found this falls to be awesome even on a rainy, foggy day and with snow on the ground. if you like chasing waterfalls like i do, you'll love it here.

The waterfall and covered bridge were great. The trail not so much. Followed the road half the time. You saw all there was to see when you pulled in.
