This is not a review but a suggestion for an alternate route from Trigg Tower Rd. to Jackson Falls. Farther up from the parking area probably less than one mile is the Jackson Hollow Ecological Area on the right. There is a sign there marking it. You can park there off the road. Walk down into the hollow to a creek, at the creek turn left and follow it to the first underpass beneath the railroad tracks. After passing through the underpass keep walking the same direction up the hill to the foot of the bluff. Go to your right and follow that bluff to Jackson Falls. There is a horse trail that you can pick up at the foot of that bluff that takes you all the way. My pedometer for the total distance there and back was showing a bit over five miles.

A favorite hike to date. We spent an afternoon wandering by creeks, bluffs, waterfalls and train tracks with some amazing views. Definitely a good thing my best friend and I are adventurous because you need to be for this trail. It was perfect for our outing!

Dog friendly trail. Lots of roots along the way. Beautiful scenery but the fall was dry.

the falls were dried up, alot of big boulders, we went to the fall trail only, but if you have the proper equipment and are in fairly good shape you can climb further down, still very beautiful, very peaceful, trail had alot of roots in it so you have to watch where you walk, all in all a nice trail.

No signs saying which way to go. Super muddy and overgrown. It looked deserted.

I took my niece on this trail, she’s not a hiker and she said it was the most fun she has had in a long time and now wants to start hiking more! It was tricky finding the right path to the waterfall so we spent a lot of time finding it but that made it even more fun... I do think there should be some more signs to help people because I came across a lot of lost people. I live in the northwest and this trail and the waterfall definitely impressed me. Watch for ticks.

There were postings to let you know what trail you were on, but dozens of times the trail split or came to a T. ut seemed like none of those were marked at all. We did a lot of backtracking after realizing we didn't follow the proper unidentified trail. It was also very muddy and in places had to either go barefoot or accept your shoes being saturated. Other than all that it had a lot of very neat views and points of interest. Bring a map, plan well, be prepared to spend time backtracking and it's well worth it

Hiked in March- trails very poorly marked in most places, unmarked in some. Portions are simply a scramble through the brush. Heavy horse traffic in places has caused large portions of the trail to become a muddy puddle. Once you reach the area around the falls the views and trail are quite good, but pay close attention to which trails you need to be on.

Wonderful trail. Had to go off trail here and there do to mud and standing water. Plan on returning soon to explore more of the trail system here. Excellent time!
