The park is closed Tuesday. It is open Wednesday-Monday, 8am to 6pm (or 7pm during daylight savings time). This trail leads you under live oak trees and views of the marsh. Blue egrets and cattle heron can be seen on Alligator Lake.

Lots of shade and views of the water. The terrain can get uneven so watch out for that. Lots of stops to sit and rest or look over the water.

beautiful trail for running, but no dogs allowed. i can't support trails that are not dog friendly.

Hands down best trail for wildlife in north central Florida. Gators, river otters, deer, blue herons, red bellied hawks, etc everywhere. Beautiful and well maintained. There are 4-5 auxiliary trails out there right next to this one that are great as well.
