Normally love this set of trails and we still had fun. But with the snow it was very hard to find the trail we wanted. I ended up recording our hike midway through so we could utilize the map which was helpful. Might want to bring spikes with you for the icy, packed areas. Some instances snowshoes would have been helpful but there was enough dry ground that it wouldn’t have been worth it.

Great Fall colors. I would rate this as easy, not moderate. But overall very pleasant!

5 stars based on what I wanted to get out of it...beautiful turning aspens. As far as the trail goes, good shape but hardly moderate. Very easy trail for hiking. Would be a fun trail for biking though! Oh and bring your GPS...marking on the trail is horrendous!

Very nice, easy trail. Great wildflowers and nice views over Nederland with a great mountain backdrop. This trail seems to be more of a biking than hiking trail. You’ll need to bring the app/map with as there are a few intersections and knowing which one is yours can be slightly confusing.

Beautiful! Had to turn back due to lightning, but will be coming back for this one. Will have to bring bikes next time as well.

This was a very nice and easy hike. Lots of aspens and wildflowers. There is some highway noise for parts of the trail, but the trail overall was great for my husband, 2 year old and I to have a leisurely walk in nature. There were minimal people as we saw about 10 total some hikers and some bikers. We will definitely do it again in the fall to see the aspens.

We were looking for a trail to run a little later in the morning that would not be too crowded. This one was a great choice. Though there were frequent groups of bikes, everyone was chill and yielded and we enjoyed a fairly uninterrupted 2 miles out and back. The map at the trailhead was a bit tough to follow and we saw very few markets but for an out and back it was just fine. Great views, flowers and rolling hills.

After a big day of hiking Chicago Lakes trail, we wanted an easier option and gave this a try despite zero reviews. HUGE PLEASANT SURPRISE! Easy hiking on mountain bike accommodating trails. We started out on the lower 925B and we didn’t see anyone for at least a mile. Bikers stay slightly higher. We got a slow start this Sunday and got here about 10 am. All the trail running clubs had already finished. So we had maybe 10 bikes and that was it. If you want a flatlander or kid friendly option or just want some isolation amongst the aspens...aspen and wildflowers galore.
