There are two trailheads, one on the west side of the creek and one on the east side of the creek. You must cross bridge to access east side trailhead which is the proper trail. If starting on west side of Willow Creek, there is potentially dangerous creek crossing to reach the upper portion of the trail head at Devil's Slide. The two main attractions to Willow Creek trail are Angel Falls and Devil's Slide. The rocks in this area are extremely slippery, so be careful.

Start at the trailhead east of the highway unless you’re comfortable running across it. Traveling on the west side of the creek means no trail markers on the unmaintained trail. But it also means being right next to the water and surrounded by lush moss. Sticking to the east side provides a view point and a much more maintained trail. It was difficult to find a spot to cross the creek, even in December.

Great little trail! We were limited on daylight due to working in the morning so we didn’t make it all the way to the end. But we really enjoyed the falls and the nice forested trail. Lots of moss covered trees and rocks making for beautiful scenery in addition to the views of the water. Would love to go back with more time to enjoy!

Nice water pools. Took the east side along the water was a little challenging. Crossed over and came down on the west side which was much easier. Didnt make it to Devils Slide but will definitely go back.

Didn’t actually make it to the trailhead. Seemed like we would have to walk on the side of the road, with no shoulder, for 5 minutes. There was a nice river though :)

Not knowing where to go for hikes in Bass Lake, this was an excellent first choice. Hard time finding it, no real directions. It’s 4.3 miles along north shore from Hwy 41. A pull out that says No Parking but drive down the road to the lot, we started uphill to the left of lot, trail runs along the river with lots of access points, at least in October but it’s obvious more water happens at other times of the year. Beautiful river, fall colors. We connected with upper trail after crossing the river at the top where there are pipes, continuing another mile or so til Devils Landslide, another falls. Don’t miss that! We did not make a loop but came back the same way. Dog friendly and fun river trail

Great hike. The trail can be hard to follow at the beginning but the views are worth it.

Some decent waterfall action when we got there. Not a bad hike, it's fun and free.

Really enjoyed this Fall hike but imagine it is amazing in the Spring bloom. Small amount of scramble until you get to the main trail, then it’s easy to follow. The creek is running strong on it’s way to Bass Lake. Water features all along the trail including some excellent swim holes. The Devils Slide looks like what commercial water slides we’re made to resemble... only far more treacherous. Signage says not to go beyond the fencing, but you can see that many probably do. Lot’s of places to sit and enjoy the view. Still a few flowers lingering on. Some gun shots heard from hunters.

Absolutely stunning. My second hike ever and I've got the bug. Waterfalls are amazing... only met one person today, nice and quiet.

So this was a pretty area but I found the path difficult to follow. We actually made it almost a mile and it was toooooo scary so we turned back.

First time exploring angel falls 9/10/19 and I enjoyed the trail. I’d say the first mile is easy to hike. Small incline with nice views of a couple falls with some watering holes to relax by or in if interested. The higher you go the more incline and thin the trail gets. I feel you get what you make of this hike. If you go I’d bring some swim trunks with it being a short hike!
