Nice loop that can be started from the end of Perth Way in Inverness, which shortens the drive to get there. Parking is very limited though. Recommended counter clockwise to climb the steeper part first. Nice views on Tomales Bay, good path. Unfortunately no ocean views, and the trail on the south part of the loop gets very narrow. A bit overgrown in some parts, but seemed to have been cleared recently (as of December 2019), so pretty well maintained. Overall a pretty good hike.

Completely overgrown, not maintained by park service and very buggy with mosquitoes and biting gnats.

This was a wonderful hike with an interesting mix of habitats. I did it as a loop and was glad to be tracking my progress against a map, the trail is not marked at all. A pretty good mix of sun and shade even at mid-day. I’ll be back!
