Hiked Jan 24, 2020. Gorgeous forest walk to coastal trail. Stunning sea views. Lots of opportunity for bird watching (I saw at least 30-40 cormorants). Harbour seals hang out on the beach to the right of the Bird Island trail peninsula. If you continue down Bird Island trail to the parking lot there are some picnic tables for lunch with a sea view. Very easy trail, very few major elevation changes.

Nice views but extremely over crowded with corresponding noise issues. No entrance fee if you park on the road just outside of the entrance. This is a beginner trail in my opinion. Saw lots of parents with 5-8 year olds.

Really nice trail, 5.4 miles only took 2 hours 15 minutes. Pretty flat most of the time some scrambling but minimal and can be avoided if dont go to cliffs.

today there were some sections closed however the trail is beautiful and a lot of otters, seals and sea lions were spotted ! definitely wear long pants as there is a lot of poison oak on the side of the path and we did get 1 tick. $10 per car to access the park. the parkings are limited so arrive early

Saw harbor seals, otters, crabs (tide pools) and incredible views of the Pacific. Around every corner is a new vista.

We had a wunderfull hike today. It was sunny but windy and a to cold for this time of the year. There where not so many people. We spent nearly 3 hours and take a lot of photos.
