Begin the hike at St. Matthias Church in Simmerath shrub. At the end of the tour, a visit to the church should be made. First, however, it follows the road number 23 following the village square of shrubs and then downhill into the valley along the Tiefenbach. After approx. 3 km it goes slightly uphill through mixed and oak forests. After half the distance you reach already the first bunker plants. Four bunkers are still well preserved and bats have their home here. It goes on slightly uphill back to the starting point church.
