We hiked this today as part of a group run/walk fundraiser for the RARE reserve, starting at Riverbluffs park southeast of the published route and ending at the slit barn. Pleasant hiking conditions today and no bugs although it was unseasonably warm for late September. Most of the trail is very well shaded until you get near the slit barn. ** I note that the trail is very uneven and rocky / large exposed roots throughout although fairly level. Good footwear is recommended and go slowly if it is wet or lighting is poor.

We went there for a picnic and walk on Father’s Day. You can also swim as there’s a swimming pool. Nice place. Will go again.

I absolutley love this little trail, I have spent maaaanny mornings here watching the deer graze through the golden foggy morning glow and it takes my breath away every time. I have posted a few photos I have take here!
