Montenau is located at the edge of the forest of one of the largest forests in the region, the Wolfsbusch. A name reminding that the wolf was still roaming the Ardennes massif in the 18th century ... The wide and well-formed path goes around the hill to hit the stormy Amel stream below. At the end of autumn, the river widens through the rains. Numerous moors surround the basin of the Amel, but a wooden path ensures that you keep your feet dry! The trail climbs the other, more open shore: The coniferous forest gives way to wide fields. Before you reach Ondenval, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Wolfsbusch and the surrounding hills. The proximity to the village undoubtedly explains the chance encounter with a fox running down the valley. On the last few kilometers, the trail again meets the river, which has formed a very humid little valley. Climb up the barrel and enjoy the view: a nice end to this rarely used hiking trail. read more:

Sobald Sie Montenau verlässt, zieht sich die Amel einen Graben durch das Ardennenmassiv. Früher verliehen Goldvorkommen dem Fluss seinen Reiz, heute sind es seine Landschaften.
