The way to the cave was amazing! I walk through some of the villages with beautiful views! When I saw the board that arrived the Cave Nation Park, That place is start to go in the jungles, a lot of bamboos trees and a lot of bugs. I just do the same way to cave and back to the same way. It didn’t too hard but it was great!

Beautiful sites. Very steep in sections. Many stairs throughout.

This trail ain’t no joke. Got lost a few times due to the lack of guidance. The Dtaat Mook waterfall is well worth the hike... bring a swimsuit for a nice refreshing shower.

Great little hike. You pass through what looks to be an adventure camp for children to find the start. As you can imagine the initial trail is very well trodden. However as you approach the waterfall if becomes somewhat more overgrown. The waterfall itself was completely secluded and we had a great time showering.

The walk to the cave was fantastic with beautiful views, and the cave itself was great. I would suggest that you only do the cave and then back. If you do the loop, as others have mentioned, you have to hack through jungle and I came face to face with a cobra!! Fortunately it heard me coming and moved out of the way, but it was terrifying. That section was very difficult and downright dangerous for anyone inexperienced and I would not recommend it.

Update 11/29/19 mountain closed Rode up from Chiang Mai today and our guest house host told us the mountain is closed this season. He recommended a cafe near the caves where a guide can hopefully steer us in a new direction

Perfect short hike to do with a 2 yo on your back. Not too crowded. We had a friendly Hmong guide, so I think you also support them in a way. Excellent views!

Trail was a little overgrown, but fine if you're wearing long pants. It is the beginning of November following a light rainy season, but the waterfall was beautiful still. The rocks half way up and around the falls are quite slippery. A very serene, short hike.

If I didn't have this app and the gps on my phone I would have been unable to find the waterfall! Like everyone else says, take a map and full phone battery, lots of water, snacks... and bug spray! I got lost but this app saved me, eventually I found it. I only saw two other people the whole day,and they said they were unable to find it. I had the waterfall all to myself and it was incredible. The path was a bit overgrown but do-able.

Found the trailhead fine but it was a shitshow of pathways after that. As far as I could tell I was walking a mtb trail until it turned into a pathway through some small farms. I did pass one waterfall which was a trickle running over some large rocks. Wouldn't recommend without gps. Some nice views of the city through the trees and the odd clearing

Nice, easy walk. We had 5 yr old with us who didn't even complain. Not loads of water after dry season but still beautiful and refreshing. At the start, just before trail begins, you need to pass thru government premises that have no entry signs but you may pass through. We parked motorbike just outside of the fence though.

Great guided hike. Beautiful views and a great walk. Strenuous in bite. Not for those with sore legs or the elderly, but doable for kids.

I would not recommend this trail for anyone who wants more than a forest walk. It’s horribly disappointing - both with the views blocked now due to pollution and the lack of physical challenge the hike provides. And you need to pay 200B per group for a guide (mandatory - no way around it)... which I personally dislike hiking with a guide greatly!! I could see how it would be beautiful in November, when our guide said it was the best time to see it, but it wasn’t close to that reality while I was there. So sad because I was truly looking forward to it! Try Doi Suthep instead - I heard there are beautiful Mountain Views and treks there.
