Great trail well sign posted. Started trail at the Valbella Inn then picked up Panorama trail 745

This is not a moderate level trail, it’s extremely easy. It’s also probably more like 4m. You can even stop in town halfway through for coffee or lunch! I’m still rating it 5 stars because the view and the lake are absolutely gorgeous. Luckily, if you’d like to make the trip harder there are plenty of walking/biking trails up the surrounding mountains.

The trails is an easy gravel road. A couple of nice views and some marmots. But safe enough even with bad weather or snow/slush like during my hike...

So it was amazing. Took it in reverse and was quite steep initially but the way up was wooded and beautiful. Lots of cows and ringing bells. About halfway up the trail isn’t as clear. We eventually figured it out and the views were amazing!

This loop from Splügen is a beautiful way to explore the spectacular surroundings on safe trails. The part along the river coming down from Splügenpass is a little washed out, but passage is always possible. After reaching Bodmenstafel, the trail continues on a back road that is partially paved. Like this, Tanatzhöhe is reached where a beautiful panorama awaits. The trail continues in a poorly visible, but clearly marked way. After Tamboalp, it enters a steep valley that has spectacular vistas and descends quickly back to Splügen.

Trail starts by the train tracks and continues on through pretty forest above the Rhein. The Rhein is only partially visible and accessible throughout the trail.

A long and easy (flat) hike until reaching the glacier. From here it goes steep up through the glacier moraine until reaching the Forno hut with restaurant service during the summer months. Awesome position about a thousand feet above the glacier. The trail in the moraine is best done with mountain boots because of the gravel and several wet parts.
