One of the best bikes in the Bernese Oberland. We did First to Schynige Platte and really liked doing it that way!

This is better done as a one-way-trip, taking the Gondola from the Gemmi to Leukerbad - where you have the thermal spas as an added bonus. The tail is groomed for hiking in winter, too, with a midway stop at Schwarenbach restaurant.

What a session!

straightforward hike. beautiful views at the top.

Beautiful hike, the view when you look back on Kendersteg is so pretty, and at the end amazing views on the lake. Highly recommend this hike.

Gorgeous trail the entire way up. Well worth the climb to the top! Check the weather before you go :) this hike was our favorite thing we did in Switzerland!

We took the train up to Kleine Scheidig and hiked down to Wengen. Doing the trail in reverse made it workable for my pregnant wife, it was easy and paved, and the views were absolutely stunning. Don’t be discouraged by cloudy weather forecasts. We moved in an out of cloud patches, and while the views were sometimes obscured, we enjoyed the dynamics of it. Very sublime.

Great trail to get down the mountain from the allmendhubel playground. The route takes you past the kids adventure playground in the woods about halfway. The last half mile into the city is a very steep rocky road.

Excellent short trail to the Bireflüe staircase up a sheer cliff face to the upper alpine pastures. Steep climb all the way, with spectacular views. I climbed this trail in 2008 with Jesse Davis, and we had a wonderful hike.

The hike was demanding but so worth it. We didn't finish the whole trail as we were running out of time and water. Good fitness level required as there is up and down all the way. Be prepared to hike for 10 or more hours unless you are super fast

So many wonderful views during this walk! This is the more difficult path to the top of the Stockhorn. At the beginning as it follows the steeper route and during the second part the less traveled path along the crest I walked back down along the more gradual route to be able to see more of the area. This peak is definitely less traveled than the more famous, but still has stunning views. Loved every minute of it.

This is a magnificent loop trail, offering everything a hiker could hope for in the mountains! Very steep initial climb to the Niederhorn, beautiful Alpine pastures, stupendous views of snow capped mountains across the valley, cow herders huts where they make cheese, delightful descents, and a breathtaking section through the cliffs above Beatenberg. A hiker should be in good shape before attempting this. Water is available at the Niederhorn restaurant, so it isn’t necessary to carry water for the entire trip from the start. I hiked from near Beatenberg ski chairlift up to the Niederhorn, over to Oberburgfeld, to Oberburg, then Kümatte, below Känzeli and west across the cliff face, returning to my starting place: 10+ miles, over 3000 feet gain. This one of my favorite hikes in the whole world.

This is the hike I came to Switzerland for.

It was a wonderful, easy trail to begin our time in Grindelwald. The woods are beautiful, and there are plenty of foot bridges and smaller paths to explore along the main route. I highly recommend starting out on the trail to the left and exploring the area by the river before heading back to the main path that leads to town. Plenty of photo ops with the surrounding mountain giants, along with lush woods, green pastures, and friendly livestock.

This one has a little bit of everything! The paved road with gorgeous mountain views up at Mürren gradually transitions to gravel road with the continuity of gorgeous mountain views to Grüschalp, where the path becomes much grassier and less apparent and ultimately descends into the trees by way of switchbacks and farmland until Lauterbrunnen. Absolutely breathtaking views.

Faaantastic hike! The tanzbodeli (sp? Sorry!) summit is an awesome spot. Also, the gondola to gimmelwald is only 6 Francs :)

We went mid October, weather was perfect and sunny. We hiked it backwards compared to whats on here. Very private with few people and scenic. Steep uphill the way we went for the first bit.

Easy mostly flat paved and dirt roads the whole way. Great views. Stopped at Winteregg for lunch which is about half way, was delicious. As easy as it gets and moderately crowded.

Very steep but not crowded and well kept. Plan for 2-4 hours. You can take the Gondola down
