This was a more leisurely walk up a long, but very gradual incline. The trail is in good condition. Weather good, but some rain at the end. There were several small, very neat towns along the way to get a rest, a snack or use the facilities. Finally off the meseta, there were trees and a couple of deer. It was a welcome change of landscape. Got a pilgrims blessing from a Benedictine monk at an 11th century church built by the Templars. Very few people on the trail today, but met 2 nurses from New Zealand at dinner. Tomorrow will be a long one. Headed to the Iron Cross in the am, then on to Ponferrada.

Easy day out of Burgos. Have coffee in Tardajos. Have your playlist ready since you’ll be lucky to see sheep. 5 Stars cuz you are the Camino.

great day, wonderful views

Terrible, litter-strewn, industrial / wearhouse section leaving Leon. TAKE A BUS!! Save your soul.

Great trail with incredible views of the Basque country. Completed the trip slowly to take a lot of pictures! Went with 2 30 year olds and 2 60-70 year olds and nobody had any problems with the hike. I would recommend bringing a few layers as the wind and shadow make it a lot cooler than the city temperatures.

Great flat hike that combines outdoor beauty and historical monuments that dates back over 1000 years

It said private preserve, but my dad made me go anyway. It was beautiful and the waterfall was really neat. It took shorter than I had expected and is a great hike for all ages. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Genial para ir con familia nosotros la hicimos desde La boca del asno. Un paseo super agradable y con grandes tramos de sombra

It is an amazing experience walking around the perimeter of the walls. There are some parts you can walk following the allure (wall-walk). The views are so beautiful. And if you love Middle Ages, this is your place to revisit history. Visitors can walk around the entire perimeter of the walls on the outside. Inside, it is more complicated since many areas around the footings are part of private or public enclosures. The route that offers the best view follows the allure (top of the walls) along a length of around 1700 m and is open to the public. However, the necessary preparation work on the south face has yet to be completed. Visitors to the city of Ávila don’t always follow the route around the entire perimeter of the walls. This is also logical because it is a "stroll" of almost three kilometres. However, we recommend it. It is worth the effort if you want to appreciate the grandeur of the walls and discover some of the not so well-known places of picturesque beauty.
