Quick up and down, mostly stair climbing alongside smashing waves and medieval structures. Could you ask for any more? Hard to imagine how anyone was able to build this massive thing in such a crazy place.

Really cool hike with breathtaking artwork. Feels like you’re part of a fantasy adventure—be sure to stand at all the arrows to get the full experience. Watch the images come together like puzzles :)

More of a stroll, than a hike. Nice beautiful walk around the amazing Museum

Very fun, relaxing hike for an afternoon stroll. There are lots of side trails and different approaches to the castle summit. Many of the side trails have a neat highlight or historic ruin that make it worth the extra effort. Keep a cell phone or camera handy because there are numerous quality photo opportunities on the way to the top. The free museum at the castle also is well done and interesting for a first timer.

Great hike with direct and easy access from San Sebastián. Recommend sturdy shoes-no flip-flops!

Such a cool hike.

This is a spectacular trail. It’s a section of the Camino Del Norte, a long system along the northern coast of Spain. This is a 5-mile section between Donostia-San Sebastián & Pasaia. At either end, you’ll find steep stone stairways; in the middle you wind through beautiful wooded trails, with stunning views around every corner. I started in San Sebastián & attempted to loop around after reaching Pasaia, using alternate trails to make my way back, but found that they were harder to navigate. Many confusing twists & turns, & sections overgrown with thorns. I’d love to spend more time here. My only complaint is that there were a lot of other people on the trail. I traveled in early Sept which might be the busy season.

Une randonnée à faire, avec des panoramas à couper le souffle. Il faut grimper et gravir quelques rochers parfois abruptes pour des non initiés. Nous avons adoré. Prévoir chaussure de randonnée.

The trail is beautiful and peaceful. Not many pilgrims in September but I never felt alone. Safe. If you make it thru the first day from Hunderrabia the rest is easier. This was my first Camino. Usually people do this trail after they have done at least one Camino. It can be done. I was 58 and not an avid hiker and completed it in 37 days

The biggest part of the trail is over roads, not really a feeling of hiking in nature.

Gorgeous trail. We started in San Sebastian and walked east for a few miles and then back down. We found one side trail that allowed us an incredible view from one of the rocky peaks.

Beautiful scenery. In August, somewhat of a highway though, shared with about 1000 people... and as a hike not very exciting: down and up, and back in 1h.

unfortunately something went wrong. as I am new to this and being my first solo hike instead of walking a scenic route I ended up walking through the streets and main road. pasaia was amazing though stunning scenery

the trail as mapped has been closed. there is a detour in place so you can still hike point to point, you just will not follow the mapped trail.

Walked this beautiful family friendly trail on a summer day. each view more beautiful than the next.

We loved this trail - family of 4, fit late forties parents and 10/14yr old boys. We started with a trail already on the system, then continued around the bend using the local hiking trail markings of red/white painted flags on stones and trees all the way around the coastal point. We worked hard for 3 hrs but had amazing views the entire way around the point and a beautiful trip up to each and every highest peak - Ogono is not to be missed. Stay on the trail! If you do not see the red/white markings for a few metres - stop and look around, otherwise expect a good ‘bloody brambling’!! We were all wearing running shoes but I wish I had hiking shoes! There was quite a bit of uneven terrain and some higher rocky climbing... Great views, great trails, reliable markings (when we didn’t miss them and go astray!!) Alison

I recommend this trail to anyone looking for a good moderate hike. There are parts that are a steep climb up and steep climb down but it’s beautiful along the coast.

Nice hike up 350ft of elevation to the old fort overlooking San Sebastian. make sure you explore all the off shoots for a variety of views of the city and the sea. Pretty informative museum at the top. if you are tall, be careful of the stairs in the fort...they are made for smaller people.
